Taurus Season
May is an abundant month in nature and, if you play your cards right, you too can make things grow and flourish. The Sun is in earth sign Taurus until the 21st, talk planet Mercury is in Taurus from the 3rd to the 17th and your ruling planet Mars enters Taurus on the 18th.
This combination is productive so get your hands in the earth, build for the future and focus on what’s practical and tangible to achieve. Taurus rules money in your horoscope.
The Full Moon on the 1st cuts across the money axis of your horoscope, an ideal day to balance the books and get on top of finances.
Money matters get interesting during the week leading up to the New Moon in Taurus on the 16th, an ideal date to launch a money-making venture. The 11th and 13th are fantastic dates to attract what you want into your life.
If you’re a typical Aries, you’re a natural risk-taker and it’s a time when you’re wise to pay homage to the mantra, ‘nothing ventured, nothing gained’.
Set your intentions during the New Moon and start over. A New Moon is ideal for new beginnings, whether this is about your attitude, your money mind-set or making sure you get paid what you deserve.
The trickiest astrology comes on the 26th when your ruling planet Mars in Taurus clashes with power planet Pluto in Aquarius. This could symbolise closing the door on an expensive outgoing or having to deal with a financial loss.
This combination doesn’t favour risk-taking unless you’re willing to go all in. There is a possible theme of double or quits. However, this astrology isn’t for the faint-hearted. Be wary what you invest in towards the end of the month.
Gemini Season
Gemini season could be unusually social this year. It’s a key sector of your horoscope in May as the planet of love and relating Venus is in Gemini until the 19th. Plus, talk planet Mercury moves into Gemini on the 17th followed by the Sun on the 21st.
Gemini is your communication and community sector, a time to find your voice and love your neighbour. You’re being called out into the world, so learn a language, start a podcast or website, teach or pass on your ideas and find your tribe.
This year, Gemini season is unusually lively, thanks to wild-card Uranus in Gemini. Uranus is conjunct Mercury on the 18th and the Sun on the 22nd. Uranus is the rebel, independent and unpredictable.
You could run into people or organisations that are anti- what you believe in. You might experience division within your community or be involved in a controversial protest.
Try not to leap in, although there’s a temptation for things to happen fast when Uranus is in charge. The planet of the unexpected can go either way, i.e. technology can go wrong or a text goes viral and you’re in the news. It’s wild astrology but could suit the feisty and independent side of your nature.
The Full Moon Blue Moon on the 31st lights up the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of the zodiac. This too pulls you into the world whether you’re teaching, learning more about different cultures or you’re speaking up for the underdog.
Venus Cancer
The planet of love and relating Venus enters water sign Cancer on the 19th, where she remains until mid-June. Venus in Cancer is a lovely symbol for welcoming visitors into your home, for dinner parties and meals together.
As Venus rules beauty, use Venus in Cancer to beautify your home, your garden or your place of sanctuary.
Pluto Retrograde
Pluto switches direction and turns retrograde in air sign Aquarius on the 6th. This highlights your friends, groups, social causes and your role in the world.
Pluto in Aquarius is a symbol of power to the people and you may choose to take on a key role or position in this new wave. Perhaps, you’re working on a protest or demonstration behind the scenes. Pluto will remain retrograde until mid-October.
As Pluto moves into reverse, some friendships or group alliances may not work out. However, it’s in these areas of life where power is evident, as long as it’s used to good effect. Avoid anything corrupt or linked to the underworld.
