Plus, Mercury will be in Sagittarius on and off until the end of 2025. This is because Mercury is entering its next retrograde phase on the 9th. Therefore, you’re wise to handle bureaucracy or legislation before this date or aim to push through a property deal. Mercury Retrograde
The Mercury retrograde phase dominates the month of November as your ruling planet is on go slow from the 9th to the 29th. Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius and your home and family sector but moves back into Scorpio and your communication sector on the 19th.
Therefore, get ready for some deep heart-to-hearts as Scorpio is the star sign of analysis, an intense and emotional water sign. Inner work is important when Mercury’s retrograde and this month there may be a lot to ponder and think about.
You may already know the drill for Mercury retrograde. It can be a time of communication chaos, when transport and technology seem more unreliable or unpredictable than usual. Get things backed up before Mercury is in retreat.
What Mercury retrograde is good for is going over old ground, reviewing and reassessing your situation. This could mean you’re revising ready to take a test or exam. Or perhaps, you’re doing research for a trip you want to take at a later date.
You often learn about life in unexpected ways when planets are retrograde. Therefore, make time for chat and connections. Talk to people in your local community, check in with relatives and the ones you love. This is where you can learn something new and it’s an important reminder that community matters.
News you hear in the second half of the month could change your opinion or mind. Keep the lines of communication open and your cards close to your chest. The more knowledge at your fingertips the better, especially if you’re involved in a legal or financial situation.
Full Moon/New Moon
This could be a powerful month for insights and inner work as the star sign Scorpio dominates. The Sun is in Scorpio until the 22nd and love planet Venus enters Scorpio on the 6th. This is good news for heart-to-hearts, analytical work and deep connections.
Scorpio rules your local community, your siblings and neighbours so turn to others for support. And, if you’re true to your Virgo archetype, you’ll be doing what you can to help other people. You love to be of service to others.
Both the Full Moon in Taurus on the 5th and the New Moon in Scorpio on the 20th highlight the education and travel sectors of your horoscope. You may be studying for a test or an exam and the Mercury retrograde phase is a good time for doing research and switching off.
However, be ready for the unexpected, as the inner planetary bodies, the Sun, Mercury & Venus are opposed by live-wire Uranus on the 19th, 21st & 30th. Plans could change suddenly and fast throughout November, especially close to the New Moon on the 20th.
Certainly, it’s a month when you may have your gaze on the future and it’s not a time to sit still as the planet of change Uranus is active throughout the month. This suggests it’s a good time to think laterally and come up with clever ways of achieving your travel or study goals. This is an explorative phase for you, so make the most of it. If there are changes to your plans, flexibility is the key.
Perhaps, you dare to think differently this month and you’re ready to rock the boat with your views or opinions. You could stand up for what you believe in and find your voice.
Uranus is the rebel, independent and unpredictable. You could run into people or organisations that are anti what you believe in. You could be tempted to leap in and behave impulsively. Try not to take undue risks and be aware that tempers could flare if you feel incensed.
The New Moon in Scorpio on the 20th is a hotbed of electricity and super-fast action. You could experience opposition to community plans or division within your neighbourhood. It depends what side of the fence you’re on whether you’re prepared to hold firm or jump ship. It’s not a time to walk an everyday path. Instead, you may be on the road less travelled.
As Uranus is involved, be careful with technology as it’s here where things could go wrong or one comment could go viral and not in a good way. Transport too could be unpredictable during this period so be flexible and adaptable rather than foolhardy.
Uranus Re-enters Taurus
Wildcard Uranus is under the cosmic spotlight for another reason. On the 8th, Uranus returns to your fellow earth sign Taurus where it’s been for most of the last 7 years. Uranus is the planet of change and Taurus represents travel, study, religion and the law in your horoscope.
Consider what you might be returning to over the next few months as Uranus completes its journey through this sector of your horoscope. Uranus moves back into Gemini and your career and vocation sector on April 26, 2026.
This could be an exciting and revolutionary time for you when you’re reorienting your future path or what you want to do career-wise. You might be considering a move abroad or be contemplating your education and gaining new qualifications.
Note that when Uranus is active, external circumstances often bring about change, ready or not. Certainly, one thing it will be difficult to do this month is stay put and do nothing.
Grand Water Trines
Amidst the chaotic astrology playing out this month, there’s a beautiful flow of energy between planets in water signs. Expansive Jupiter is in Cancer and turns retrograde here on the 11th while the planet of boundaries Saturn is in Pisces and turns direct here on the 28th. This means that both planets are closely connected at 25° Cancer/Pisces throughout November.
The inner planets align with Jupiter and Saturn on the 17th, 22nd & 26th creating a Grand Water Trine in the star signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. The water signs are the people sectors of your horoscope and this is where there’s a flow of compassion and emotion.
