Uranus enters Gemini – July 7
7 Year Itch?
We are living in extraordinary times, a major period of endings and beginnings. This is shown by the three modern planets, Uranus, Neptune & Pluto, all changing star sign within the space of a few years. This process began in March 2023 and isn’t complete until April 2026.
This month, the planet linked to innovation, technology, revolution and change Uranus moves into Gemini. This is the first time that Uranus has changed star signs in 7 years and Uranus has been in earth sign Taurus since 2018.
Uranus’ move into air sign Gemini is a symbol of radical communication. Power planet Pluto’s already in an air sign Aquarius and the technological, futuristic world is well underway thanks to AI and new ways of communicating.
Experimental Uranus is likely to feel at home in Gemini as Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, Gemini’s ruling planet. They are different modes of communication with Uranus being modern and technological.
Uranus in Gemini suggests new technologies, communicating with outer space, new discoveries and inventions. Perhaps, a new language will be discovered or there’ll be a flurry of twins being born. Uranus rules lightning and electricity.
Uranus in Gemini is a powerful symbol of diversity as Uranus is an eccentric influence, unconventional and non-conformist. This feels much-needed in our current world. There could be a revolution in transport too, as this is Gemini’s realm.

Mercury Retrograde
July 18 to August 11
Mercury is getting ready for its next retrograde phase which takes place from July 18 to August 11. Mercury will be retrograde in fire sign Leo and brings a different vibe to Leo season.

- Back up important files and deal with any technology gremlins
- Sort out any transport issues and get car problems checked out
- Have those all-important conversations sooner rather than later
- Plan a slower pace of life once Mercury’s in retreat – book a retreat or some time out

Mercury retrograde in fire sign Leo means that the second half of July and first half of August would be a lovely time to take a holiday and seek the sun.
‘Slow down’ is Mercury retrograde’s mantra. July looks lively, in a good way, but get ready to kick into a slower pace later on, so you don’t hit burn out.
