Virgo June 2019

Virgo (23 August – 22 September)

It’s all stations go as June begins. Although, by the end of the month you’ll be ready to slow down or needing to slow down, for one reason or another.

Career Goals

Starting at the beginning of the month, your planet, Mercury, is in its other sign of rulership, Gemini, Gemini rules your career and vocation, your future path. Admittedly, Mercury is only here until the 4th but it does coincide with the New Moon in Gemini on the 3rd.

New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings and an ideal time to set your intentions. Gemini is the sign at the peak of your horoscope. Therefore, this is not only about your career and vocation, also your status and reputation. You might be ready to launch a new project, start a new job or take on a new role of responsibility.

The Sun remains in Gemini until the 21st, the day of the Solstice. Therefore, you’re wise to keep the impetus going at work and prioritise this area of your life. Plus, on the 9th, the planet of relating, Venus, joins the Sun in Gemini, where it remains until the end of the month.

Friends & Team Work

Venus in Gemini is great for networking, team work and getting on the right side of the people who count. Socialise with work colleagues and do your bit to create a harmonious working environment.

People are important this month, in more ways than one. This is shown by the fact that your planet, Mercury, enters Cancer on the 4th, where it remains until the 27th. Cancer is the sign that rules friendship in your horoscope and group connections.

Mercury joins Mars here and this is a dynamic planetary duo. It’s where you can walk (Mars) your talk (Mercury) and there’s likely to be excitement in this area of your life. You might be engaged with a new group of people or be keen to extend your social circle. Or perhaps, you’re involved with a group close to home that’s actively helping other people.

Tricky Negotiations

Together, Mercury and Mars are an active force and it’s a good time to speak up for what you believe in. However, the period from the 14th to the 20th is undeniably tricky and heated. This is because Mercury and Mars run into the formidable duo of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. You could find yourself up against an authority figure or your own plans and goals hit a brick wall.

This is also about your social life and the groups in which you’re involved, whether social, political or humanitarian. Capricorn rules children in your life too. Therefore, you may have an issue with a child or parenting. You might be grappling with child support or an ex about visiting rights. Consider your own situation and what this means for you.

The turning point comes on the 21st, the day of the Solstice when the Sun moves into Cancer. This brings light and insight to the picture. It helps you move on from any difficulties or tension, to let go or release your emotions.

It’s not an easy path to navigate because it’s about what you believe in or what you feel deeply about. Hopefully, the Sun’s move into Cancer can shift your perspective. Alternatively, turn to a friend for advice or guidance. What you don’t want to do is to get stuck in whatever’s not working out. Instead, find a way through.

Jupiter Neptune Dreams

There’s another key influence this month and the two may be related or separate. Again, it depends on your current situation. The other important planetary factor involves Jupiter, the biggest planet.

Jupiter is currently in Sagittarius, the sign at the base of your horoscope ruling your home and family. It’s here for most of the year. At its best, Jupiter in Sagittarius is a symbol for moving or expanding your home or family. Where you find Jupiter, you often find new opportunity and fulfilment in your life.

Jupiter isn’t acting alone this month, however, because on the 16th, Jupiter clashes with Neptune in Pisces. These two planets first came together on January 13, 2019 and they meet once again on September 21, 2019. This is their second meeting, the middle connection.

Both planets are strong in their sign of rulership and both planets are in personal sectors of your horoscope. Jupiter in Sagittarius highlights your home and family and Neptune in Pisces highlights your close relationships, personal and professional.

This combination shows where in life you can take a leap of faith. It’s where you have dreams and plans for the future. This might be to extend your family, care for the ones you love or move to your dream home. You may want to marry and settle down or find a way to create the ideal relationship, one that suits you. This could be long-distance or living in separate homes.

Full Moon Vibes

This all coincides with the Full Moon on the 17th cutting across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of the horoscope. Full Moons are traditionally full of emotion and bring completion or culmination. Therefore, you might be celebrating during this time of the month, perhaps a family anniversary or wedding.

Alternatively, you might be saying goodbye to someone close as they set off on their adventure. Or, there could be big news on or around these dates. The birth of a baby perhaps or a pregnancy.

You may find that events in your own life feel overwhelming. Plus, it’s worth noting that the planet of romance, Neptune, turns retrograde on the 21st.

Therefore, illusion is a key theme and you have to work harder to discern what’s real and what’s not. Fantasy and illusion need to be analysed in the clear light of day. Use your earth sign instincts to know whom to trust and whom to avoid.

If in doubt, take time out or a step back. On the 17th, your planet, Mercury, enters Leo and the most hidden sector of your horoscope. Mercury is currently slowing down as it turns retrograde early July.

This is your cue to stop and think and create time and space for yourself. Whatever is foreground in your life right now, this isn’t the end of the story. You may soon be retracing your steps.
