If you know anything about astrology, you may already know that March heralds two big astrological events: Saturn entering Pisces on the 7th and Pluto entering Aquarius on the 23rd. I’ve addressed what both these events mean for you in separate sections at the bottom of this month’s horoscope.
Pisces Season
Love is in the air as March gets underway. Whether your love life is exhilarating, bewildering or simply a fantasy, it’s worth indulging the romantic side of your nature.
There are several reasons for this. Firstly, the Sun is in Pisces and your relationship sector until the 20th. Plus, the Sun is joined here by your ruling planet Mercury from the 2nd to the 19th.
Therefore, this could be a significant month for you when it comes to love and relationships, whether you meet someone new or you experience a soul-mate connection with someone close.
The Full Moon in Virgo on the 7th shines a light on you and your close relationships. Full Moons are a time to trust your intuition and make clear decisions. It may be a love relationship that requires your commitment. Or, perhaps this Full Moon taps into your giving nature and your natural inclination to want to help other people.
At its best, this can be a blissful & transcendent experience, whether you’re in love or on a spiritual quest. There may be someone in your life who’s playing a unique role this month and you love what they have to offer you.
The trickiest period takes place from the 14th to the 17th and this is a time to be wary if you’re feeling vulnerable or lacking confidence. Sometimes, when planets are in Pisces, you find that your life is directed by others and you have to follow rather than lead.
The planet Neptune is in the mix and this can be linked to illusion and betrayal. Therefore, trust your intuition mid-month and don’t fall prey to other peoples’ promises or influences if they’re not built on solid ground. This is where your earth sign nature is required.
If you’ve been trying to become someone who you’re not or you’ve encountered a person in your life who doesn’t have your best interests at heart, it may be time to let go and move on. This may apply to either a personal or professional relationship.
Mars On The Move
There’s another factor involved here, regarding action planet Mars. Mars has been in Gemini at the peak of your horoscope for the last seven months. Mars entered Gemini in August 2022 and this is where Mars turned retrograde in the last two months of 2022 and the first half of January 2023.
This month on the 16th, Mars leaves its shadow phase and you may be able to resolve a career or vocational issue that’s been active over the last seven months. Alternatively, it could spell the end of the road for one direction, one path of ambition. Perhaps, a competitor takes a step back. Or, you untie connections and let go.
Plus, on the 25th, Mars leaves Gemini and enters Cancer and your friendship and group sector. Turn to your good friends for emotional support if an event or activity in your life hasn’t worked out.
Alternatively, you may have spent the last seven months writing or working on a communication project. And, now is the time to share your words with other people.
Aries Season
Money is another key factor for you throughout March. The star sign Aries is where you find the biggest and best planet Jupiter and Aries rules your joint finances and shared resources. This may uncover what’s hidden, including wealth, debt or anywhere in-between.
Yet, this month, there’s potentially some luck and good fortune coming your way where money’s concerned. This is because Jupiter teams up with the planet of love and money Venus on the 2nd and the planet of communication Mercury on the 28th.
When Jupiter’s active, you’re wise to trust and have faith that life will reward you. It’s a reminder of the flow of money and what you give, you receive in return. Jupiter’s at its best when you have a big vision and you’re ready to take a risk or a leap of faith. Listen out for news or new opportunities that land in your lap when Jupiter’s active on the dates above.
Aries’ activity starts to peak on the 19th when your ruler Mercury enters Aries. Plus, one day later, the Sun moves into Aries on the 20th heralding the Equinox and the start of the new zodiac year. Also, there’s a New Moon here on the 21st, a symbol of new beginnings.
This could coincide with a chance to start over financially. It would be a good time in the month to request a loan or ask for payment owed. You might be able to move quickly to sort things out financially for yourself or someone close. Get things moving fast and lucky Jupiter could be a cause for celebration when it teams up with your ruler Mercury.
Saturn Enters Pisces – March 7
Saturn is the planet of rules and regulation, authority, discipline and boundaries. Since December 2017, Saturn has been in Capricorn and Aquarius, its two signs of rulership. Saturn rules with a firm hand during this period.
This month, Saturn moves into Pisces, the last star sign and an emotional water sign, which is unknown territory for the planet representing boundaries. Pisces is where the ego dissolves and you encounter the vast universe, the one-ness of life.
Will the unreal become real as fantasy, the imagination and the impossible become possible? Or, will Saturn bring structure and form to Pisces’ realm, e.g. the sea, drugs, the media, spirituality? The last time Saturn was in Pisces was 1993-1996 and this time around, Saturn remains in Pisces until 2026.
Saturn rules endings and commitment and will be moving into your relationship sector. This could go either way, depending on your personal situation. A joint venture or business partnership could come to an end.
Or, a personal relationship reaches a peak point and you have to decide whether you’re in or out. There’s often a ‘commit or quit’ theme with Saturn. There may be extra responsibilities around your partnerships moving forward, also the possibility of finalising a marriage or contract.
Pluto Enters Aquarius – March 23
The slowest-moving planet Pluto changes star sign this month and moves into Aquarius. Pluto is the planet of power & transformation, loss & endings. The last time Pluto changed star sign was 2008 when it entered Capricorn, the sign of big business, coinciding with a financial crash.
It will take Pluto eighteen months before it’s established in Aquarius, the star sign linked to technology, equality and the collective, where it will remain until 2043.
As Pluto’s a generational planet, the themes may not resonate with you immediately. Yet, it’s helpful to note where Pluto is strong in your horoscope and where there may be a theme of transformation, loss or deep psychological change.
Pluto’s been moving through Capricorn and your fun sector, so hopefully the last years haven’t been a drag. You may have redefined what fun means to you as Pluto transforms what it touches. Capricorn represents children and lovers in your horoscope and these key areas may have brought you a deeper sense of meaning or purpose, also perhaps some pain along the way.
Pluto’s move into Aquarius and your work and health sector could transform your lifestyle and your everyday routine. If you’re a typical Virgo, you like to have a daily schedule. Perhaps, Pluto here will change your attitude to work and health.
This can be the planet of deep learning and psychological transformation. Try not to be too extreme, especially when it comes to your health or diet, as Pluto can be an all-or-nothing planetary energy.
