Virgo (23 August – 22 September)
Your ruling planet, Mercury, is in Aquarius as the month begins, where it remains until the 10th. Aquarius rules your work and health sector. It’s about your lifestyle and routine and getting things working on an everyday basis.
This is always important for you being a Virgo, as your sign is closely connected to health and routine. The New Moon on the 4th is an excellent date to line up some new healthy habits or start afresh with activities and practises that improve your life on all levels.
In fact, if some of your intentions or resolutions for the start of 2019 went by the wayside, this is the ideal time to turn the page and refresh. There are many reasons why February is the new January in 2019. One of them is the chance to start again with things that didn’t work out or got put on the back burner last month.
The Sun is also in Aquarius until the 18th and both the Sun and your planet Mercury get a lot of support from the other planets this month. Jupiter is a key player in this respect, currently in Sagittarius and your home and family sector.
This would be a good time to team up with other family members, whether you want to change your eating habits, prioritise fitness or relaxation or get things more organised at home.
If you’re a typical Virgo, your mind feels more settled when your surroundings are tidy and orderly. Start a spring clean early this year or use the New Moon energy to declutter and pare back to essentials. The more you involve other family members in your everyday routine, the more likely you are to change things around in a good way.
It’s also a key month for work and the New Moon would be a good date to line up an interview or apply for a job. At work too, you benefit from joining forces with other people and finding support. The more your workplace represents a family atmosphere, the happier you are and the more you get done.
Also, if last month’s Lunar Eclipse on the 21st brought changes to your work situation, you now have an opportunity to get back on track. There might be specific financial reasons why you want a job to continue or pay you well.
This has a lot to do with action planet, Mars, which is currently in Aries and your joint finance sector. Mars has been here since New Year’s Day and it’s a competitive, go-getting influence.
Being one of the earth signs, you sometimes find fire sign energy over-the-top and stressful. If you have a deadline to meet financially, this could be troubling you or perhaps you’re getting too attached to reaching a financial goal.
Mars remains in Aries until the 14th and the pressure is becoming more intense. Mars clashes with Pluto on the 2nd, which sometimes flags up an impossible situation. This could be a good time to cut your losses or consider your options of lowering your expenses, even quite radical ones. This might involve a child if you’re a parent or a new lover, if they’re turning out to be expensive in your life.
After Mars runs into Pluto, it teams up with Uranus on the 13th. Uranus is the planet of liberation and freedom and this could be a symbol for breaking free from a financial or emotional tie. However, this whole combination is fiery and impulsive and you can’t rule out someone stepping in to pull the plug on a regular payment or withdrawing their financial support.
Ideally, you want less instability when it comes to joint finances as this doesn’t suit your earth sign nature. Uranus will also leave Aries on March 6th and some of you might be glad to see the back of the planet of unpredictability in one of your money sectors. Either way, events mid-month could either prove final or dramatic.
Mars then moves into Taurus and your travel and study sector on the 14th where it remains until the end of March. You may be keen to book a holiday or trip away or do whatever’s necessary to improve your learning or gain new qualifications. Mars in Taurus taps into your earth sign nature and is a persistent and determined energy.
Love is definitely under the cosmic spotlight throughout February, although Valentines Day, the 14th, doesn’t look particularly romantic. If anything, you’d be wise to choose another date to schmooze the one you love. Your planet Mercury is in Pisces and your relationship sector from the 10th and is joined by the Sun on the 18th.
Plus, there’s a gorgeous Full Moon cutting across the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac on the 19th. This is when emotions run high and this is a wonderful Full Moon to celebrate love and close relationships.
There’s a romantic vibe to your astrology this month. Plus, you have the planet of love, Venus, in Capricorn and your romance sector from the 3rd onwards. Admittedly, Venus runs into Saturn on the 18th and Pluto on the 23rd, but this can be about commitment and standing by the one you love, when times are tough.
These could be definitive dates for baby news or flag up an ultimatum. It does look as if you’re having to take love seriously and you need to decide where your loyalties lie. Responsibility and love go hand in hand.
That being said, there’s plenty of opportunity for romance, but crack on with it. Your planet Mercury will be retrograde in Pisces from March 5th to the 28th, which often spells confusion. Make your definitive love moves sooner rather than later.
