Top Tips Astrology for March 2024
Like last month, all of the planets are moving in forward motion throughout March urging you onwards. However, take note that communication planet Mercury is slowing down ready to turn retrograde on April 1st.
A good reason to get things done and ticked off your to do list before next month. Here’s the important astrology coming up:
New Moon [20 Pisces 17] – March 10
This month’s New Moon falls in water sign Pisces on March 10th. Make a wish, surrender to life, go with the flow and find beauty in the world.
A New Moon is an ideal symbol for new beginnings, a time to set your intentions and start over.
Even though it’s a New Moon, be discerning and mindful about what you’re letting go of or leaving behind before the Sun enters Aries on March 20th.
This is because Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and the Sun’s move into Aries heralds the start of the new solar year.
Pisces is a water sign, a reminder to bring more compassion, emotion and empathy into the world. It’s a season of hugs and caring, kindness and sensitivity. Make loving connections. Don’t be on your own.
Extended Pisces Season
Even though talk planet Mercury leaves Pisces on March 10th and the Sun leaves Pisces on March 20th, the lovers of the heavens Venus and Mars are diving deep into Pisces’ waters. Venus moves into Pisces on March 11th followed by Mars on March 22nd.
This feels important and it’s likely to be a fulfilling month for the creatives and artists, the lovers and spiritual seekers. Spread compassion and caring and play your part to ensure that love and heart-felt energy streams out into the world.
Sun enters Aries – March 20
On March 20th, the Sun moves into Aries, the day of the Equinox bringing a change in season. This is the start of a new zodiac cycle. Here in the northern hemisphere, it’s the beginning of spring, with its promise of growth and seeds being sown. The clocks change during Aries season and we move into BST, British Summer Time.
The Sun’s move into Aries is a renewal and a rebirth, an ideal time to set new resolutions and intentions moving forward. It’s a reminder of the importance of individual action.
You can choose how you want to be each and every day. Every individual has a choice on how to respond to life’s events and how to interact with other people, our world.

Lunar Eclipse [5 Libra 07] – March 25
Eclipse season starts this month with the first of two eclipses cutting across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac. The star signs Aries and Libra highlight themes around identity and relationships. The nodes remains in these star signs until January 2025.
This eclipse cycle began in April 2023 and completes in March 2025. It turns the spotlight towards Aries ruling the self and Libra ruling the other.
This isn’t only about relationships, however, because Aries and Libra are ruled by the planets Mars and Venus respectively.
Therefore, this eclipse cycle could be said to be a symbol of War (Mars) and Peace (Venus), Love (Venus) and Hate (Mars). And, tragically, it’s been a time of new wars emerging around the globe.
What’s significant about this eclipse is that this is the only Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in the cycle. All the rest of the eclipses are New Moon Solar Eclipses which accelerate growth.
Lunar Eclipses tend to be more emotional and dramatic, as they coincide with the Full Moon. There can be a theme of competition or opposition. Sometimes, you’re caught up in a triangle situation where one person wins and another person loses.
When the lights, the Sun and Moon, are eclipsed, you are effectively ‘in the dark’ and things become hidden or shadowy. Secrets can emerge as what’s hidden comes to light and a new landscape is revealed.
Traditionally, you’re wise to wait a few days after an eclipse before making a decision or taking action. Yet, don’t wait too long as communication planet Mercury will turn retrograde on April 1st.
