Pluto In Aquarius
Pluto’s re-entry into Aquarius on January 21 was epic. It felt more powerful than Pluto’s first foray into Aquarius in March 2023.
Perhaps, this was because the Sun was side-by-side with Pluto bringing clarity and illumination to the mix. I wrote about some synchronicities that appeared to me here: Here Comes Pluto In Aquarius.
Not surprisingly, we’ve been talking a lot about Pluto in the latest episodes of Astrology Talk Podcast. And, no doubt, we’ll have more to say in the next episode, when we look back at the month that’s gone.
We know this is going to be the era when Artificial Intelligence makes a huge impact on our lives. And, 2024 is gearing up to be a big year for global elections. Aquarius is the star sign linked to modern technologies and societal change, a call to action to disrupt and challenge the status quo.
February’s Astrology
Here in the northern hemisphere, February is predictably a grey month, but there are always plenty of big events linked to celebration.
Carnival (February 10-13) takes place in many countries around the world to mark the start of Lent. Chinese New Year (February 10) often falls this month and Superbowl (February 11) is a huge event in the USA.
Leap Year – February 29
This year, February is special as it’s a Leap Year with one extra day taking place on February 29. Tradition states that it’s an ideal day for women to propose. With talk planet Mercury in romantic Pisces in a lovely aspect to celebratory Jupiter, even more so this year.
Yet before then, there’s plenty happening in Aquarius as all the inner planets take their turn in Aquarius. Aquarius is the star sign linked to the future, space travel, the airwaves, science & technology and the New Age.
Pluto Conjunctions
As the inner planets move into Aquarius, they meet up with Pluto at 0° Aquarius. Talk planet Mercury is first and the Mercury/Pluto conjunction is on February 5.
Then, it’s the turn of action planet Mars and the Mars/Pluto conjunction falls on February 14 (p.s. this means it’s not the best Valentines day for romance this year). Lastly, the planet of relating Venus makes a Venus/Pluto conjunction on February 17.
Conjunctions add power to the mix but can go either way. They may be about personal transformation or a time to step into your power. Alternatively, these dates may coincide with loss or an ending. Alternatively, these dates may coincide with loss, an ending or finding yourself up against a powerful individual or the authorities.
There’s another major conjunction taking place between Venus and Mars, the lovers of the heavens, on February 22. Potentially, a better day for love than Valentines Day. This is the only date that the planets linked to love and sex come together in 2024. If you have planets/angles close to 7° Aquarius, you’re in the spotlight.
New Moon [20 Aquarius 41]
A New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings and the New Moon on February 9 is extra lively. A square aspect to Uranus means things could start and fast. Look out for the catalyst that brings change your way on February 8.
Full Moon [5 Virgo 23]
The Sun enters Pisces on February 19 and the Full Moon takes place this month on February 24. Full Moons are a time of culmination when you can release and let go of unwanted emotions.
The Sun’s move into Pisces is a shift from the logical air sign Aquarius to the emotional water sign Pisces. It’s a reminder to combine your heart with your head when making key decisions.
This month’s Full Moon could be more about completion than celebration, as the Sun and talk planet Mercury align with sensible Saturn in Pisces. These three planets are side-by-side on February 28, a good date for getting things finalised or setting firm boundaries in place.
No Retrograde Planets
Finally, all the planets continue to move in forward motion throughout February. Therefore, it’s an excellent month to crack on and get things done.
