Taurus November 2018

Taurus, escalator

Taurus (20 April – 20 May)

Two important planets make significant moves this month. You may already sense that November is a month when you can make some big decisions. This is confirmed because, on the 16th, your ruling planet, Venus, turns direct after six weeks retrograde or on go slow.

Venus is currently in Libra, the sign of balance, ruling your work and routine, your lifestyle and your health. You may be seeking balance or harmony in your everyday life and want to slow things down. This suits your Taurus nature.

This fits because, on the 6th, unpredictable Uranus leaves your star sign Taurus for the next four months. It won’t be back until March 6th 2019 when it takes up a seven year residence in your sign. So this gives you a breather from the planet of change which has been in Taurus since mid-May this year.

These two planetary events taking place in the same month and relatively close together indicates that this is a time to settle down and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. If life’s been moving too quickly for you, find some peace and inner equilibrium.

This is the halfway point through your zodiac year as the Sun continues its journey through Scorpio, your opposite sign. It’s a good time to take stock and look at how far you’ve come since your birthday. What’s worked, what hasn’t worked; where have you achieved the most and what do you want to do differently?

Another planetary indicator that life is slowing down is the fact that action planet Mars finally leaves Aquarius, the sign at the top of your horoscope, where it’s been for most of the time since May and your birthday month. Aquarius rules your career and vocation, your status and reputation and it’s often a busy period when Mars is in this sector of your horoscope.

Either that or it’s been a chaotic few months as Mars was retrograde throughout July and August. Mars now enters the calmer waters of Pisces, so think less stress and more ease and flow. Lean on other people as Pisces rules friends and group endeavours in your horoscope. Prioritise your social life and catch up with old and new friends alike.

Also, this month, there’s big news as big planet Jupiter is on the move. It leaves behind your opposite sign of Scorpio and moves into fire sign Sagittarius on the 8th where it remains until December 2019.

Jupiter takes approximately one year to move through each sign of the zodiac and Jupiter has been in Scorpio since October 2017. This put the spotlight on your relationships and your 1-to-1’s, both personal and professional.

Jupiter is the planet of luck and opportunity and is associated with plenty. It’s the planet of freedom and when you have Jupiter in your relationship sector, you are given an opportunity to remove yourself from a difficult relationship, actively choose to be single or fall head over heels in love. For some of you, Jupiter in Scorpio will have coincided with a marriage or a second honeymoon.

It’s not all been a smooth flow, however, because Scorpio is the sign of deep emotions. It takes you down into the belly as you flirt with the dark side of life and go into the underworld. You may have decided to move and follow someone you love over the last twelve months or the opposite and leave an established relationship.

The houses of the horoscope follow on from each other so even though Jupiter leaves Scorpio and enters Sagittarius, the focus remains on other people. In particular, joint finances and shared resources.

This is the settling-down period, creating a joint bank account and learning to live alongside each other and enjoy all this new chapter brings. Sagittarius rules your eighth house which is the house of sex and intimacy so think what next in a relationship and get serious about love.

This doesn’t only apply to a personal relationship. You may be ready to start a business partnership or work alongside someone else in a specific role in your life. A lawyer, an agent, a personal trainer, a therapist, for example.

When Jupiter is in Sagittarius, it’s the perfect time to get expert advice, especially when it comes to finance or legal matters. Jupiter’s a global planet so there are no restrictions and you can expand your circle of expertise.

This month you will discover what Jupiter in Sagittarius means for you on the 8th when there’s a Moon/Jupiter conjunction and on the 26th when there’s a Sun/Jupiter conjunction. This could coincide with a celebration or bonus or an opportunity to boost your cash flow, your investments or clear a debt. The key is to work alongside others and think collaboration rather than competition.

Note, however, that communication planet Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius on the 17th and remains on go slow until December 6th. Therefore, it’s important to view this period as the planning stage and not try to rush ahead. Mercury teams up with Jupiter on November 27th but this is internal rather than external.

You have to wait until December 21st when these two planets come together again in Sagittarius to really see how this can make a difference to your life, financially, emotionally and/or sexually.
