After last month’s lively planetary energy, things are slowing down allowing you a chance to take stock and consolidate what you’ve learned.
There’s nothing slow about Mercury, the communication planet, however, as this month it whizzes through three different sectors of the horoscope. This is helpful especially after Mercury spent most of October retrograde or on go slow.
The first week of November Mercury is in Libra and your work sector and this is the perfect chance to catch up with tasks or projects that went on hold last month. Busy yourself with your ‘to do’ list and use your contacts and social network to help you achieve your objectives.
The big news this month however is the intense focus on your opposite sign of Scorpio. Your ruling planet Venus is in Scorpio until the 16th and more importantly Saturn is nearing the end of it’s two year transit through this sector of your chart.
Saturn can be a heavy influence and you tend to either commit or quit when Saturn’s around. If it’s been a tough couple of years for a personal relationship or professional partnership, this month signifies the final push.
It’s helpful to look back to last month’s Solar Eclipse that fell in Scorpio on October 23rd. What began back then or was exposed or a decision you made about love or a key 1-to-1 partnership now needs to be finalised in some way. Think of this as the beginning of the end and bringing one specific partnership in your life to completion.
This may well dominate the month’s events for you. The first important date to note is the 6th when there’s a Full Moon in Taurus cutting across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of your chart. A Full Moon is a chance to create a sense of stability in your life. The Moon in Taurus equals a safe harbour so what do you need to do to ensure that you feel grounded and secure? This focuses in particular on your emotions and your inner needs.
Two days later on the 8th communication planet Mercury enters Scorpio and on the 10th it’s back where it was when it turned retrograde on October 4th. This is your chance to pick up a conversation that started a month before or make a decision based on what you now know. Mercury is finally out of its shadow phase clearing your path ahead.
Saturn is certainly in full flow this month as on the 13th, Saturn conjuncts your ruling planet Venus and on the 18th and 26th Saturn moves on to make close connections to the Sun and Mercury respectively. Venus/Saturn connections can be sobering and they’re serious rather than light and fluffy.
You need to face the reality of your situation; you may need to be there for your partner or you require their support more than usual. It’s a classic commit or quit combination too so look at where you’re ready to move on or to let go of someone. You may also realise that you have to take action to ensure you don’t lose someone close to you.
This may somehow be connected to your past, your home or your family; people moving in and out or significant changes to your family set-up. If you allow someone close to you, e.g. a parent or authority figure to have too much control over your life, this will be self-evident now and it may be that this relationship is the one you’re wanting to change.
Saturn leaves Scorpio next month on December 23rd so this is the beginning stage in cutting ties that restrict or limit you in some way. It may be hard to let go of a coach, a personal trainer, a therapist, a business partner or someone else in your life but again you know your relationship/partnership must come to an end.
What will help you now is to think what next and to look at the bigger picture of your life and plan your year ahead if not further down the line. Mars, the action planet, is currently powerful in your fellow earth sign of Capricorn and Mars loves a project. It wants a mountain to climb, to set new challenges and to have something to look forward to.
This may be a charity or physical challenge, working towards a holiday or sabbatical, deciding to commit to a course of study or an adventure that’s life-enhancing. This is just what the doctor ordered if you’re dealing with sadness or a personal struggle closer to home. Turn to your friends too for inspiration and creative advice, especially on the first weekend of the month.
Mid-month Mars clashes with the Uranus-Pluto square on the 10th and 13th respectively and a few days later on the 16th Neptune turns direct in the heavens. All these events suggest you’re feeling philosophical, wistful and need something to believe in or to give you hope. Action is the best form of therapy whether you decide to kick-start a healthier way of living or you replace negative mind talk with positive affirmations.
Money too can be a source of joy especially after the 16th when Venus enters Sagittarius and your joint finance sector. If you’re a typical Taurus you’ll love playing with money and this is your chance to sort out your cash-flow situation and look at where your money works for you or where it doesn’t.
This month the New Moon falls in Sagittarius on the 22nd, an ideal date to refresh your finances and set some new money-making plans or projects in place. This month’s events will remind you that endings are never easy but when the financial or emotional benefits are worthwhile, then you know it’s time to move on.
