Taurus (20 April-20 May)
Your ruling planet Venus is retrograde for most of June, which means it’s giving the impression of moving backwards in the heavens. This is a time for reflection and revision rather than steaming forwards and with Venus in Gemini and the sign that rules your money and personal values, it’s the perfect opportunity for a self audit.
In addition, there are a pair of eclipses cutting across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of your chart, ruling your own money and money that’s shared with others or invested/owed. The first of the two eclipses was last month on 20th May and there’s another eclipse on the 4th June. Things often emerge at the time of an eclipse that have been hidden, which bring about unexpected change.
Being a Taurus, you’re the sign associated with money and all that money brings, whether it’s power, pleasure, luxury, indulgence, security, poverty or wealth. So this is an incredibly powerful time for you and this is confirmed because on the 11th June, Jupiter, planet of opportunity, leaves your sign of Taurus and enters Gemini, where it remains until June 26, 2013.
So, for many of you, this period is about re-evaluating money and what it means to you, whether you need to earn more, pay off debts or decide what to do with your money. It depends on your current personal situation but Jupiter in Gemini is promising for earning more and being giving and generous with what you own or possess.
There is a challenging aspect on 25th June when Jupiter clashes with Neptune. Both these planets are associated with Pisces and there’s a boundless feel to this combination. It’s spiritual too. Some of you may feel lost or all at sea and be disillusioned with the material world. The extreme of this aspect is to want to give all your money away to a charity or religious cause. Certainly there’s a self-less feel about this aspect but as on the 27th June, your planet Venus turns direct in Gemini, it’s also important to consider your own needs and what’s right for you. Gemini’s the sign of communication, so talk to people and get advice, but most of all, be aware that this is a key month for you with regard to money and wealth and discovering what you truly value in life and what fulfils you at a deep level.
Venus is also involved in a dance with Uranus in your 12th house and this asks you to listen to your intuition, your inner voice. These two planets first met on 9th April, they meet again this month on 21st June and get together for a third and final twirl on 5th July. This is about being willing to experiment with money but also with love. It’s about making unconventional decisions and doing what pleases you, rather than conforming to expectations. These dates may also bring unexpected money or love in to your life, so take note of what happens. It’s a fun aspect on the whole, connected with new and unusual opportunities.
If you’re married or in a steady relationship, the best advice is to go with the flow. Venus and Mars, the cosmic lovers, are at odds on the 5th June and with your planet Venus retrograde, it’s not the best month to make major love decisions. Create fun times for the two of you, enjoy the summer sunshine and the entertainment that’s on offer. One thing you do have in common now is that you’re both in dual-natured signs, Venus in Gemini and Mars in Virgo, so there’s a restless feel to your relationship and a need to do more either together or individually.
Money will have a big effect on your relationship now whether you’re in the enviable position of being wealthy and enjoying treats and little luxuries or the opposite and money is scarce. If this is the case, you need to find ways to continue to enjoy life, to reprioritise what’s important to you, and to trust and have faith that abundant Jupiter will reward you in time. Jupiter remains in your cash zone until June 2013. Being a Taurus, you should already instinctively know that hard work brings reward but look out too for new opportunities that come your way and take advantage of them.
