Taurus Monthly Horoscope September 2015

bulldog, TaurusTaurus (20 April – 20 May)

There’s a lot going on in September but things start to pick up for you as soon as the month begins. The big news is the fact that your ruling planet Venus turns direct on the 6th after six weeks on go slow. Look out for a turning point in your own life, especially one that’s linked to your home, family, your past or where you come from.

This is because Venus turns direct in Leo, the sign at the base of your chart ruling these personal areas of your life. Venus represents love and money so it’s in one of these areas where your life can get a welcome boost. There might be good news for a property move, a family celebration or simply the fact that you feel positive about life and this has a knock-on effect in other areas.

Plus five days earlier on the 1st of the month, there’s a powerful conjunction between Venus and Mars. In mythology, these two were the lovers of the heavens so this is a classic ‘falling in love’ combination. It’s time to take charge of a relationship in which you’re involved and to remember that love conquers all. If you’re looking to meet someone new, ask family for an introduction or get back in touch with a childhood sweetheart.

There’s another reason why this is a powerful month for love and relationships and this is the fact that Saturn, the taskmaster of the heavens, finally leaves your opposite sign of Scorpio on the 28th. Scorpio rules your 1-to-1 relationships, both personal and professional, and whether you get rid of an opponent or enemy in your life or an obstacle that’s been hindering love is removed, this has got to be good news for you.

Saturn isn’t an easy influence as it weighs you down. Yes, it’s the planet of commitment and responsibility but it’s lacking fun. It seems that this month you might be in the mood to make life easier all round and ditch the difficult stuff. Whether you’re getting rid of people who weigh you down or you’re actively engaging with people who are lucky, happy, joyful, something’s shifted.

This process began last month when Jupiter, the planet of opportunity and growth, entered your fellow earth sign of Virgo. Virgo is the sign that rules fun and play and all the good things in life. It’s time to take stock and do more of what you love. The more you focus on pleasure and happiness, the more you attract these qualities into your life.

Plus, it’s important to trust your intuition. Your ruler Venus only makes two key planetary aspects this month. The first is a conjunction with lover boy Mars on the 1st and the second takes place on the 23rd when Venus trines lucky Uranus. This aspect has happened twice before on June 29th and August 19th and this is the third and final connection. Notice who comes into your life on or around this date and follow a hunch or gut instinct. Coincidences point the way forward.

There will be times this month when you want to make a decisive gesture and show others that you’re ready to invest in the things that matter dearly to you. Virgo rules love affairs, children & pregnancy, creative projects and entertainment in your chart. When key planets are in Virgo, this is your cue to follow your passion and actively enjoy life.

Note what happens on or around the solar eclipse on the 13th which falls in the sign of Virgo. A solar eclipse is a New Moon with extra oomph, a powerpoint in the heavens. Sometimes life brings you up short and outside events have a big effect on the decisions you make in your own life.

There is a possibility that you’re ready to forge a new path now because of something that’s not happening. One of the powerful aspects taking place in September is Jupiter in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces on the 17th, a few days after the eclipse. Neptune can bring disillusionment, deceit or confusion.

If someone lets you down or one avenue is closed to you, it will be disappointing but the eclipse is a reminder to embrace life, not to give up and to try a different route. This might apply to love, children or pregnancy or a creative project. It’s a month of endings but also new beginnings.

When it comes to work and money, here too things are beginning to shift for you. Mercury, the communication planet, is in Libra and one of your work sectors throughout September but on the 17th Mercury turns retrograde. This means that it gives the illusion of retreating and remains on go slow until October 9th.

You can expect this to be a period when you’re rethinking your current work situation. Your contract might be up for review or you might be indecisive or unsure about what next. Mercury retrograde is always a good time to follow up past connections and try again where you failed once before. However, it’s not a time for out-and-out action and this is confirmed as there’s a lunar eclipse on the 28th which cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of your chart.

This is part of an eclipse cycle which began in October 2013 and completes next March 2016. One chapter in your working life is coming to a close and the eclipse might highlight how or why this is going to happen.

Plus, Saturn has got to move somewhere and on the 18th Saturn re-enters Sagittarius and your joint finance sector. So with regard to money matters, it’s important to look ahead and invest in the future. You might be dealing more with money, whether you’re trading, investing, paying off debts or getting ready to sign a key financial contract.

It’s early days for Saturn’s move back into Sagittarius where it was from December 2014 until mid-June 2015 and especially with Mercury on go slow, there’s really no rush. Take your time with money matters and if you can, wait to sign important documents until mid-October. If you are entering into a key agreement before then, double-check everything and read the small print.

For some, this month’s stars are an indication that you want to enjoy yourself more and work less or at least work smart. Take heed of the signposts that appear and the direction in which life is guiding you. It’s a transitional period of change that’s moving you closer to an important new work routine or lifestyle.
