Your ruling planet Venus leaves your sign of Taurus on the 5th and enters air sign Gemini. This means that right at the start of July, you could recognise that you need some new skills in your personal tool box. Gemini is the sign of communication and Venus remains here throughout the month.
So brush up your negotiating skills especially when it comes to money and what you value in life. Gemini rules your personal money sector and, especially from mid-month onwards, you can talk your way into a promising deal. Do make sure however that you don’t undersell yourself and that you’re paid what you deserve.
Having said that, this is a month when you’re wise to ensure that a job or contract is safe and secure. One of the best dates for you with regard to work and money is the 18th when your ruler Venus teams up with the planet of opportunity Jupiter in Libra and your work sector. A regular job and a steady flow of money are worth hanging on to especially with powerful eclipses coming next month that highlight the foundations of your life.
The trickiest date for money matters could be the 24th when Venus is opposed by Saturn in Sagittarius and your joint finance sector. You can’t get everything your own way when Saturn’s in play so look at how to compromise or cut a deal that works for everyone. This isn’t the best date to ask for a loan or talk to the bank manager. Choose the 18th instead for a more positive financial outcome.
Finally, Venus teams up with innovative Uranus on the 30th, another good date to take a risk financially, to do something new, to look out for a new money-making venture.
Aside from Venus, the astrology suggests that you will be involved in some hard negotiating throughout July. Action planet Mars is in Cancer and your communication sector until the 20th along with the Sun, which is here until the 22nd.
On their own, this is a fine combination that promises lively debate, exciting conversations and meeting new friends. However, both planets are heading for a collision course with Pluto in Capricorn on the 2nd and 10th respectively. Pluto is the all-or-nothing planet, that represents total power, black-or-white decisions.
The latter date is significant because there’s a Full Moon cutting across the Cancer-Capricorn axis of the zodiac on the 9th so any dispute will be emphasised during the powerful Full Moon energy. Emotions are often stronger during the Full Moon period and it’s not the best time to get involved in a major argument.
At the same time, you shouldn’t let someone go quiet on you, whether this is your partner in a personal relationship or someone you work with professionally. Soul-baring could be extremely revealing and perhaps someone close would benefit from opening up and admitting what’s really going on.
Pluto’s linked to the unconscious and also themes of the Underworld, including corruption and the abuse of power. So you might discover some wrong-doing during the Full Moon and it’s up to you whether you decide to get involved or to step back or pull away. Think carefully whether it’s worth taking on a difficult situation or whether you’d rather cut your losses and run.
This is also about travel and study for you, so perhaps plans that don’t work out easily. Here too it’s important to decide whether you want to fight hard and dig deep to succeed or whether you’d rather postpone or cancel a key event.
Other important dates in this respect are the 18th and 21st when first Mars and then the Sun clash with Uranus in Aries and the most hidden sector of your chart. Your intuition isn’t firing on all cylinders when Uranus clashes with key planets, so these aren’t good dates to adopt a high-risk strategy.
Instead, this is when you might decide to break away or do things differently with regard to travel, study or another long-term project. One area of your life that will prove joyous now and could be a real highpoint of the month is home and family. Leo is the sign that’s shining bright and this begins on the 6th when communication planet Mercury enters Leo, where it remains until the 25th.
So talk to loved ones and people you trust to help you make sense of a difficult argument or not seeing eye-to-eye with others. You could have a serious sense of humour failure if you’re confronted by beliefs or opinions that are dogmatic and completely opposed to your own. This is when you need other people around you to remind you of the values and aspects of life that really matter.
Things start to heat up in the sign of Leo from the 20th onward when action planet Mars enters your home and family sector followed by the Sun on the 22nd. Then one day later on the 23rd there’s a glorious New Moon in Leo, an ideal date for a family get-together or new beginnings on the domestic scene.
This is a good time to be pro-active in home and family matters, to look after the ones you love and to focus on your own security. This New Moon is the first of a set of two New Moons in Leo, the difference being that next month’s New Moon is a powerful Solar Eclipse.
