Taurus (20 April – 20 May)
Your ruling planet Venus enters Sagittarius and your joint finance sector on the 1st where it remains until the 25th. Normally, this would be a time to enjoy your money, treat yourself and others and set yourself up financially for the year ahead.
It’s a slightly different picture this December, however, because communication planet Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius on the 3rd and remains on go slow until the 23rd. Traditionally, this is the time to rein in your spending or major financial transactions. Therefore, it’s an ideal time to review your finances ready for 2018.
So take your time on the money front. Both the Full Moon on the 3rd and the New Moon on the 18th highlight the financial axis of your horoscope. Let slowly, slowly be your approach. See what emerges when the light of the Moon is potent, trust your intuition and be cash savvy. There could be an opportunity to let go of a debt or regular payment that’s been holding you back.
There’s another reason for this and a strong symbol for being patient. This is the fact that on the 20th, planet Saturn changes star signs which only happens once every three years on average. What’s important for you is the fact that Saturn leaves behind the sign of Sagittarius, where it’s been since December 2014.
Sagittarius rules other peoples’ money in your horoscope and Saturn often represents lack or hardship rather than abundance. Hopefully Saturn’s move away from your money sector signifies the end of a difficult financial chapter for you with regard to debt or monies owed. Saturn can be something of a burden and Saturn’s epic move signifies a feeling of freedom around money.
Saturn has to go somewhere and on the 20th it moves into your fellow earth sign Capricorn, where Saturn is strong. Plus, one day later, the Sun joins Saturn here and on the 25th, your ruler Venus also enters Capricorn and immediately connects with Saturn.
This can mean that reality looms in some way or you recognise where your limitations lie. It’s also an indication that you’re seeking inspiration and will want to broaden your experience of life over the next couple of years.
Notice what appears in your life over the holidays, the festive period, and what matters to you greatly. You might be ready to make a commitment to a travel or study project or a spiritual path or philosophical training. Capricorn represents where you find meaning in life, the bigger picture and an ideal time to expand your horizons. If you’re celebrating the holidays in far-flung surroundings, you’re in tune with your stars.
It’s also important to think about what you can begin as one year ends and a new year begins, a project that you can work towards over the next couple of years. Where do you want to grow and what do you want to learn more about in your life?
Are there qualifications you need or is there something you’d like to discover for the pure enjoyment of learning? These are the questions to ask as you strive to find a greater purpose and meaning in your own life. For some Taurus individuals, this will coincide with a move abroad or a decision to emigrate and live in a different country.
Relationships are also under the cosmic spotlight this month and on the 1st, there’s a troublesome planetary aspect between Mars, your partner planet, opposing Uranus. This can symbolise bad behaviour or an outburst of anger. Take care in your 1-to-1’s early in the month and don’t put yourself in the way of trouble, either in your personal life or at work.
If you’ve had any health issues over the last couple of months or even the whole of last year, this is the final hoorah. Stop what isn’t working for you and invest in health products, advice or information that’s known to work.
You might even benefit from moving away from alternative treatments to more conventional means in the first week of December. The good news here is that Mars leaves your work and health sector on the 9th, and this often coincides with less stress in your life. Don’t throw a lot of money at your health or well-being this month, however, because it’s not a wise move with Mercury retrograde for most of December.
Better news for love and passion is the fact that Mars, the planet of action and the libido, enters your opposite sign of Scorpio on the 9th. Mars is weak in Libra but strong in Scorpio and helpful for both you and your partner if you’re in a long-term relationship or married.
Love and relationships are where excitement and adventure lie when Mars moves into Scorpio. Someone new could breeze in and jazz up your life or you rediscover your passion for an ex, a lover or your current partner. If you’re married or in a long-term relationship, do something adventurous as a couple, have fun together and put the spark back into your sex life.
Anything goes with Mars’ passionate energy and, as Mars joins the planet of good fortune in Jupiter, this is not a month to go it alone. In fact, on the 3rd, there’s a stunning planetary aspect between Jupiter in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces and your friendship and group sector.
Joining together with other people this month can not only bring happiness and fulfilment your way but be a truly blissful or spiritual experience. Throw yourself into the festive activities and find meaning through group connections and come together with other people to sing, celebrate or give back to the community.
This is where joy can be found this month. It’s not about money or expensive presents but instead thoughtful gifts and offering love, care and friendship. Turn to people you trust too, for advice or guidance moving forward. Reach out to others over the holiday period and don’t spend the festivities on your own. Join in with other people, your family or the one you love.
This is very interesting re Taurus but the final bit about joining with other over the festive season I will be on my own. Not by choice but my daughter does not want me around, although my grandchildren would. Also I have had a truly awful 2017 everything from a trip over festive season being cancelled, health issues, car being vandalised to workmen failing to turn up, losing all the data on my laptop which was unrecoverable and things in the house going wrong. These are only the tip of the iceberg. So where does life go from here? (DOB15/05/49)
I’m sorry things have been tough for you this year. Writing the horoscope, the suggestion was to find a way to be with other people unless you want to be on your own. Otherwise, it feels lonely. There are usually community events to join in with in most areas. I hope you find something for you. Sending best wishes, Sally
