This summer’s stars are quite unusual in that Jupiter, the biggest planet in the heavens, has changed signs and moved into Leo just before the Sun makes it’s annual trip through the sign of the Lion.
Jupiter takes approximately one year to move through each sign of the zodiac but rather than having to wait months for a stunning Sun-Jupiter conjunction we’re straight in and celebrating this summer in style.
Jupiter entered Leo on July 16th 2014, the Sun entered Leo on July 22nd 2014 and today, July 24th 2014, they meet up in the early degrees of Leo (exact 21:44 BST).
Plus, just to add some more fizz, there’s a New Moon in Leo on July 26th 2014 and this New Moon at 3 Leo 52 (exact 23:42 BST) has Jupiter, the Sun and the Moon all close together. This feels like one big party and if you are celebrating or having a knees-up over the next few nights, you’re in tune with the stars.
The Sun Loves Leo
Leo is the only sign of the zodiac that’s ruled by the Sun. The Sun likes to be in Leo, one of the fire signs, where it can exude warmth and heat. Fire signs are full of vitality and energy and this too suits the Sun’s profile. The Sun is where you shine bright, it’s your essence, who you are and your true self. The Sun can strutt it’s stuff in Leo, take centre stage, be a performer, a drama queen and enjoy acting like royalty. This is not the time to hide yourself away but be loud and proud of who you are.
Leo is a sign that likes to boss others around and is brilliant at taking the lead and being an efficient (party) organiser. Leo also rules children and being around children can remind you of that wonderful innocence and vitality that children possess naturally. Play and fun are highlighted with so much emphasis on this one sign so discover what you love and do more of it. Be passionate, be creative and express your natural talents.
Look out for the Leos
Look out for the Leos over the next few weeks and months as they are going to be in the news and fanning the flames of fame. Wherever you have Leo in your own chart, this is where you can be brilliant, stand out from the crowd and wear your Leo crown.
Both Mercury (communication) and Venus (love) will join Jupiter in Leo in the next few weeks so there’s more good news and loving vibes to come. Mercury and Jupiter meet on August 2nd 2014 and Venus and Jupiter cosy up on August 18th 2014.
Generosity and gratitude are Jupiter in Leo themes so make a note of these dates and don’t just wait to see what life brings to you but make a point of reaching out to others and adopt a kind, caring and sharing attitude.
Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014
If you want to see Jupiter in Leo in action, then replay some of the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games that took place in Glasgow last night. I watched part of it on TV and I could feel the emotion welling up inside me as all the different nations gathered today in an explosion of colour and dance and joy. Jupiter is the global planet and there’s real potential for different cultures to gather together now, to do what they do best, to dance, have fun and enjoy life.
If you’re at a music or dance festival this summer where crowds gather, here’s hoping you experience this same feel-good vibe. It’s certainly what we need more of in the world right now as a counter-balance to the horrors of war and the vicious cycle of hate.
Jupiter in Leo can at least offer the possibility of the celebration of individuality whatever your background, your colour or your race. Jupiter remains in Leo until August 11th 2015 and right now the Sun and Jupiter are at their peak and feeling happy.
Today,
Hi, things are really hotting up all round. I have now moved house; my son is coming to see me at the weekend; there is a music festival in my village at the weekend; and finally my lovely Leo man seems to be taking tiny steps towards me in a more loving way. Maybe my move over to the UK is doing the trick!!!! Hope you are having a great summer!! Love Amanda x
Great news, Amanda. Enjoy the sunshine! 🙂 best, Sally
