Scorpio (24 October – 22 November)
Big planet, Jupiter, leaves your star sign Scorpio on the 8th where it’s been since October 2017. Jupiter is the planet of luck and opportunity, also the planet of freedom. At its best, Jupiter is a breath of fresh air and, in your star sign, you feel more able to chase your dreams and do whatever makes you happy.
Also, Jupiter leaves Scorpio the day after a stunning New Moon in your star sign on the 7th. It’s as if the seeds you’ve sown over the past year or the work you’ve put in finally pays off and you can start over.
This whole combination suggests breaking free, whether that’s from a situation which is old and outdated or a situation which was making you unhappy. Life may have stepped in and thrown you a curveball too, whether that was a job loss or a relationship split.
This is because two days before Jupiter leaves Scorpio, unpredictable planet Uranus also changes star sign. It moves back out of Taurus and your relationship sector into Aries and your work and health sector.
It’s these areas of life where change is most likely because Uranus is the planet of reinvention. As a Sun Scorpio, sometimes it’s only when you wipe the slate clean and begin again that you can move on.
Some of you may currently be in a situation that’s testing you or challenging you. If the letting go process isn’t yet complete, this month’s astrology provides you with a second chance.
Also, this time of year is Scorpio season and the Sun remains in your star sign until the 22nd. When the Sun’s in your sign, the focus is on you and your personal goals and aims. This is about your image and profile, how you come across to others and how the world sees you.
Make some radical moves now and focus on the year ahead. Reinvent yourself and do more of what makes you happy. This fits with the move of your traditional ruler, Mars, into your fellow water sign Pisces on the 15th.
Mars remains in this sector of your horoscope until January 1st and Pisces represents romance, creativity, children, entertainment and fun. In other words, it’s about all the good things in life and you’re wise to put time and energy into what makes you happy.
Relationships are under the cosmic spotlight too because of what’s happening with Venus, the planet of love and relating. Venus turned retrograde in your star sign, Scorpio, last month on October 5th and, in November, you get a breather from Venus’ intensity as she dives into the underworld.
In fact, throughout November, Venus is in Libra, her sign of rulership and this feels more balanced and harmonious than October’s intense dive into deep emotions. Seek equilibrium in your life, be gentle with yourself and others and take time out and breathe in deeply.
Venus turns direct on the 16th and will return to your star sign, Scorpio, on December 2nd. This whole Venus’ journey has been one of discovery but also gaining inner strength. When she moves back into Scorpio, she does so as warrior woman and is clear about what she wants and why.
Expansive Jupiter enters Sagittarius on the 8th where it remains until December 2019. Jupiter’s transits are always powerful if you harness the planet of opportunity well. Sagittarius rules money in your horoscope, personal finances and possessions and what you value highly in life.
Over the course of the next year, here comes an opportunity to boost your finances and lead a wealthier or more abundant lifestyle.
For some Scorpio individuals, this may coincide with a final shift concerning a property or family matter. This is because Mars leaves Aquarius on the 15th, where it’s been for most of the time since May of this year. Aquarius rules your home and family, your past and where you come from.
On the one hand, this may have intensified your connection to these areas of life. However, in July and August, Mars was retrograde which can make life unpredictable and present you with challenges. Mars is now moving smoothly through Aquarius as it completes its journey through this sector of your horoscope. This indicates you’re at the last hurdle and, with one final push, you can nail that property, home or family-related matter.
Keep a close eye on what happens around the 8th when there’s a Moon/Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius and the 26th, when there’s a Sun/Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius, both positive factors for money and abundance. In some way, this is linked to what’s happening as your planet Mars moves on.
Do note, however, that Mercury is retrograde in Sagittarius from the 17th until December 6th. Therefore, this isn’t the time to rush into new financial developments or expect things to fall into your lap overnight.
Instead, know that when Mercury is on go slow, it’s important to pace yourself and wait patiently. Often, a better deal or opportunity comes your way when Mercury turns direct.
Mercury does team up with lucky Jupiter on the 27th so note what happens on or around this date. This is ideal for planning and creating a strategy. Mercury and Jupiter together often signify brilliant ideas.
If so, work towards December 21st when the two planets meet again but this time both in forwards motion. This is building towards something special that is likely to materialise before the end of the year.
Hi sally i am a scorpio born in NSW Australia November 14 /1970
And i am a cancer rising. This year having jupiter in scorpio has been like a roller coaster ride. I was expecting amazing things to happen but i feel financialy it drained me put huge pressure on my relationships with work and personal. I have just changed jobs still doing the same work different company but a lot more challenging and intense.. i know i am not sounding very greatful for having jupiter in scorpio for 12 months but it has been a hard year overall. I am not sure how other scorpios felt but would appreciate some feedback. I really hope 2019 will be a little kinder regards Julie…
I agree, Julie. It’s felt like liberation through fire, i.e. surfing deep and dark emotions. It’s been a challenging year for me too – Sun Scorpio – but I do feel as if I’ve learned loads and am re-emerging a new person. So a very Scorpionic experience definitely.
I am also Scorpio Sun and Cancer rising and it has been challenging financially and lots of deep emotions to work through, looking forward to some lighter times!
Here’s hoping Jupiter in our personal money sector from Thursday until December 2019 brings us abundance 🙂
I’m Scorpio sun and Taurus rising and looking forward to Jupiter moving into Sag. The past year has been so incredibly hard financially, one of the worst in a really long time. I’ve had to take a paycut as well as take a former employer to court over $30,000 of unpaid wages. I really hope it’ll get much better for us!
Venus turning direct on November 16th will also help you as it’s your ruling planet – Venus rules Taurus & Libra. Good luck!
Hi Sally,
I am a Scorpio sun, cancer rising too! It has been a challenging year for me too so far, with changes and deep emotional issues.
Hope Jupiter in Sagg will bring me some relief financially and in love.
