Scorpio Monthly Stars December 2014

Christmas starsScorpio (24 October – 21 November)

Let’s start with the big news and the news many of you have been waiting for. On December 23rd, Saturn, the taskmaster of the heavens, leaves your sign of Scorpio. Hoorah!

Yes, Saturn represents discipline and hard work but it’s a weighty planet and many Scorpios have had a tough time of things whilst Saturn’s been in this sector of your chart since October 2012. It can play out as a lack of energy, poor health, lack rather than plenty and hardship rather than abundance. Sometimes it’s just not fun and an overdose of Saturn can make you view the glass half empty rather than half full.

So this is definitely reason to celebrate and ensure you have a relaxing and fun-filled Christmas. Admittedly Saturn will dip back into Scorpio in the middle of next year from mid-June to mid-September but it’s only a blip after twenty-six months of Saturn in your sign.

Now Saturn has to go somewhere and once it leaves your sign of Scorpio it moves on into Sagittarius, the sign which rules your money, personal possessions and values. Saturn will remain in this sector of your chart for the next couple of years so pay close attention to your finances this month and decide carefully what you’re willing to commit to in the year ahead. Saturn is a long-term planet rather than boosting your fortunes overnight.

This is especially important as the month of December begins with three of the personal planets in the fire sign Sagittarius; Venus (relating), Mercury (communication) and the Sun (self). The fire signs are especially active during the first half of December but also throughout the first half of 2015 and this is where the energy is hot and dynamic. Sagittarius rules your money, Jupiter’s in Leo ruling your career and vocation and Uranus is in Aries ruling your everyday work, your routine and your lifestyle.

So even though Saturn is potentially a party-pooper in your cash sector, play your cards right early in December and you can be quids in. Plus Jupiter and Saturn can work well together; Saturn helps Jupiter turn dreams into reality and Jupiter reminds Saturn to be positive, look on the bright side and at least have a go.

On the 4th, 12th and 14th December, the personal planets in Sagittarius team up with abundant Jupiter in a positive and supportive aspect. Look out for new work opportunities and set up some new goals and projects that will help you be successful in 2015. Jupiter’s a lucky planet so you may find that life steps in to gift you something special.

Jupiter encourages you to broaden your horizons, use your network of connections, think global, be open to learning and study and take risks. Plus with Uranus in the mix, this is the symbol of the entrepreneur whose motto is ‘have laptop, will travel’. A flexible, freelance way of working suits Jupiter and Uranus and space and freedom as more important than a regular routine job. See what magic you can conjure up.

Now one reason why doing things conventionally may have been a challenge of late is because of the Uranus-Pluto square that’s dominated the heavens since June 2012. These two mighty Titans have clashed not once but five times since then and they meet again this month on December 15th. This is nearing the end of this epic planetary configuration and mid-March 2015 is their final clash.

Uranus is in Aries, the sector of your chart that rules work, your lifestyle and your health and here’s another reason why it’s been hard to walk a regular path. This combination defies convention and rails against injustice in any of its forms. Power games are out and reinvention is in. Pluto in Capricorn and your communication sector fires up your words and adds intensity to what you have to say. You need to speak your mind, find your voice and when in doubt do things differently. Uranus is the maverick of the heavens after all.

So if you find yourself feeling strongly about something mid-month, here’s the Uranus-Pluto square revving up the engines. Take care of getting into arguments for the sake of it and this applies to Christmas Day (25th) as well. If you know there’s a particular subject that pushes your buttons or acts as a trigger, make a promise to yourself to avoid bringing it up and at least wait until the big day is past.

If you do want to make a stand and plant your flag, the day to do so is the 22nd when there’s a New Moon right at the beginning of the sign of Capricorn. Five planets stand side-by-side in this sector of your chart and this is really powerful for communication and setting your intentions. It’s a fertile period for new ideas and working on new projects. Boxing Day (26th) and December 27th are equally creative.

On Christmas Day itself the Moon is in Aquarius and spending time with family is recommended. Plus Mars your ruling planet moves into this same sector of your chart on the 5th where it remains until mid-January adding drive and ambition to your plans for your home and family.

Love too can blossom this month. Romantic Neptune is in action on the 14th, 20th and 27th and most important of all, the Moon is in your opposite sign of Taurus on New Year’s Eve (31st). If you’re married or in a relationship or want to meet someone new, this is your night. Raise a glass with the one you love and make a toast to a successful and happy 2015.
