Scorpio (24 October – 21 November)
There is some glorious astrology as the month begins in Leo, the sign up at the peak of your chart. This takes place on July 1st when the two best planets in the heavens, Venus and Jupiter, join together.
Venus rules love and money and Jupiter expands what it touches. It’s the planet of new opportunity, growth, luck and good fortune. This combination has the feel good factor written all over it.
Leo is the sign that rules your career, your vocation and where you’re heading in life. For some, this represents a new job, a new role or position. There might be an opportunity to boost your status or reputation. Look out for someone who can influence your path, who can help you climb the ladder to success. This might be a woman in a position of influence or your boss. Venus rules women.
Venus and Jupiter together promise happiness, gifts and blessings. Plus, the planet of communication Mercury is strong in Gemini and actively involved in the astrology. Gemini rules joint finances, shared resources in your chart and Mercury is whizzing through the heavens.
This could symbolise the financial news you’ve been waiting for, money coming in, a cash bonus or windfall. The astrology feels prosperous and abundant. This whole combination invokes the law of attraction and what you give out you receive in return.
If this makes no sense to you personally, then look to your partner or someone close to you. Venus is your partner planet and connected with your relationships both personal and professional. You might benefit from someone else’s success or good news and this is the reason to celebrate. One way or another, it’s joyous symbolism.
Venus remains in Leo until the 18th and Jupiter remains in Leo until August 11, 2015. This is your chance to reap your rewards and consolidate what you’ve learned and experienced over the past year. Make the most of this stunning astrology and pat yourself on the back for a job well done.
There is one planetary aspect taking place which hints at you being self-critical or hard on yourself. This is when Venus squares Saturn in your sign of Scorpio on the 14th. Saturn is the task master of the heavens and moved back into Scorpio mid-June 2015 where it remains until mid-September 2015.
This is a relatively short transit of Saturn but it does feel heavy and can weigh you down. Sometimes you experience fear or doubt when Saturn’s strong in your chart. Again it’s important not to be too hard on yourself but to celebrate your wins and champion your victories. There’s a lot going well now and it would be a shame to let your attitude or approach to life slow you down.
There is strong focus on water signs this month as Mars, your ruling planet, is in Cancer where it remains throughout July. Mars is uncomfortable in the sign of Cancer as Mars wants to go directly from A to B but in the sign of the crab, Mars has to scuttle sideways. You might be keen to go away on holiday, to take a trip, to study, to grasp new experiences and yet you can’t make speedy progress in any of these areas.
Don’t give up however, but keep trying and be persistent. There will be obstacles in front of you along the way but as long as you don’t resist change you can achieve your goals and ambitions in these areas. The main challenge comes in the shape of the Uranus/Pluto square. The key dates are the 15th to the 19th and the weekend of the 25th/26th.
Pluto is in Capricorn ruling your communication sector and Uranus is in Aries ruling your work, routine and health. When Mars (action) and Mercury (communication) clash with the outer planets, you have to be assertive and fight for what you want.
You might find yourself in an argument about your principles or what you believe in, you might find that other people try to disrupt your schedule and make things trickier for you. Do your best to work alongside others, especially at work, but at the end of the day it’s important that you go for what you want.
Let the Full Moon on July 2nd and the New Moon on July 16th signpost your way forward and be your guide. The Full Moon cuts across the Cancer/Capricorn axis of your chart and is the perfect date to trust your intuition with regard to a course, trip, adventure or new experience. When the light of the moon is at its brightest, you see your situation with clarity.
The New Moon in your fellow water sign of Cancer is a brilliant date to initiate action, to sign on the dotted line, to set your intentions, to expand your horizons. The New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings and a chance to start afresh or start over.
The other major planetary activity taking place involves Venus, the planet of love and relating. On July 25th, Venus turns retrograde in the heavens and is on go slow until September 6th. This isn’t a speedy period for love with your ruling planet Mars unsure or hesitant in Cancer and Venus switching direction.
In fact, you’re wise to use this period to reflect on love and relationships and to turn your attention inward. This is the time to work on yourself and allow your partner more space and freedom if they need some time out.
As the month comes to an end, the emphasis is back on your career and where you’re heading in life. The Sun ( identity) and Mercury ( communication) both enter Leo and your career sector on the 23rd and it’s time to turn the focus back on you.
A powerful Full Moon cutting across the Leo/Aquarius axis of your chart on July 31st is a chance to stabilise your foundations and to put plans in place that set you up for the future.
Hi Sally, am already feeling good with Venus/Jupiter, and Leo. My other half is Leo and he is setting up a new website which is all good for him. I am hoping also that this will be the month I see arrangements of some sort being made to either visit Ireland or even moving back there. All feels good, thankyou and take care. xx
🙂 Blessings. best, Sally

I got fired on the 1st July, most difficult day in my life, are planets really good for Scorpio in the near future?
hi Sonia, I’m so sorry to hear your news. A lot depends on your personal chart but for Scorpios this is still a promising period for work matters whilst Jupiter (opportunity) remains in Leo and your career sector until mid-August 2015. Both the Sun and Mercury (communication) enter Leo and your career sector this week on Thursday 23rd July. Have faith. Jupiter sometimes represents freedom so perhaps it’s paving the way for better things to come. Hope so. Sending best wishes, Sally.
