Jupiter On The Move

The big news this month is big planet Jupiter on the move. On the 11th, Jupiter leaves water sign Pisces and enters fire sign Aries. Jupiter is the planet of luck and opportunity. It has an expansive and boundless quality that taps into your desire to escape everyday reality and experience bliss in life. 

Jupiter takes approximately one year to journey through each sign of the zodiac. Jupiter was in your fellow water sign Pisces from May to July 2021 and returned to Pisces at the end of last year.

Pisces rules all the good things in life in your horoscope, e.g. children, love affairs, creativity, entertainment and luck. There may have been the blessing of a pregnancy, a birth or new grandchild. It could have been the start of a new love affair or the birth of a creative project. 

Know that Jupiter’s active as May begins. The 3rd could be a stand-out date for you when Jupiter in Pisces teams up with your co-ruler Pluto in Capricorn. Reinvent yourself and do more of what makes you happy.

This combination can be transformational and powerful. It’s about communication, community and the areas of life mentioned above. At its best, it could coincide with a miraculous event.

Plus, your traditional ruler Mars is in Pisces until the 24th. Whether you’re craving romance or feeling broody, whether you’re immersed in a creative project or bringing people together through the power of media, entertainment, poetry or song, dive deep into your passions.

Once Jupiter moves into Aries on the 11th, this highlights your work and routine, your lifestyle and your health. This is a lively combination which could give you extra get-up-and-go and increase your va-va-voom.

Mercury Retrograde

There is one astrological indication, however, which suggests any new habits or ideas could take time to germinate or bring results. This is the fact that communication planet Mercury turns retrograde on the 10th and remains on go slow until June 3rd.

This could throw a spanner in the works. It often means you have to be patient and wait for an opportunity to materialise. Although, Mercury retrograde is ideal for planning and doing research. 

Mercury turns retrograde in Gemini and your joint finance sector. While Mercury’s in retreat, you’re wise to safeguard your finances and not be persuaded to part with your money. 

It’s not a great time for major investments or signing a contract that affects you financially. If you can delay doing so until the end of May or beginning of June, hang on for a while.

This is when there are turning points a’plenty. There’s a New Moon in Gemini on the 30th, a symbol of new beginnings and Mercury turns direct a few days later on June 3rd.

Lunar Eclipse

May could turn out to be a pivotal month for you for another reason. This is because of the Lunar or Full Moon Eclipse which takes place on the 16th. It’s an important eclipse for you as it falls in your star sign Scorpio.

This eclipse is part of the eclipse cycle which began in November 2021 and completes in October 2023. As the eclipses cut across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac, it’s personal.

You may find something comes full circle now which began on the first eclipse in this cycle on November 19, 2021. Or, perhaps something that began on April 30th when there was a Solar Eclipse in Taurus and your relationship sector.
