Scorpio (24 October – 21 November)
Try and pace yourself throughout April, especially when it comes to love and personal relationships. As the month begins, your ruling planet Mars is in your opposite sign of Taurus where it remains until the 21st, so other people matter to you now. Taurus is a sensual sign and it’s important to take things slowly.
This applies to both personal and professional partnerships and the key date to note is the 6th when there’s a Mars-Pluto alliance in the heavens. This is powerful for you because Mars is your traditional ruler and Pluto your modern ruler and early this month, they are working together.
The 6th is a brilliant date to make an alliance, to use your network, to seek out new contacts. What you put in place now could last you a life-time, it’s that good.
It’s also important to get on with things and push for answers because from the 10th, communication planet Mercury turns retrograde in Taurus and your relationship sector. This invariably brings a change of mind for you or someone close. Ideas get dropped, plans don’t materialise, stuff happens and you have to move on.
Mercury remains on go slow in Taurus until the 20th and the period from the 10th to the 20th is especially tricky to navigate. You might be waiting on someone’s answer or perhaps someone close goes quiet on you. Try not to push too hard if this is the case and take a step back and be allowing instead.
This feels as if it could be a major month for love and romance because love planet Venus is in Pisces and your romance sector from the 3rd to the 28th. Yes, Venus is on go slow until the Easter weekend but then it turns direct on Saturday 15th bringing with it an awakening.
Venus returns to a point in the zodiac where it was in January and early February so events then may be pivotal with regards to what’s happening now. There is a sense of love being reborn over the Easter weekend or at least a theme of second chances.
It’s not an easy month to negotiate, simply because there are many twists and turns and perhaps different people to take into account. Money too could be a factor as Venus clashes with Saturn in Sagittarius and your personal money sector on the 8th and 21st.
Saturn represents lack rather than plenty and money could be an issue now in a key relationship. At the very least, it’s important to draw up some new guidelines with regard to love and money and to set firm boundaries in place.
On the 19th, the Sun enters Taurus and almost immediately connects with a retrograde Mercury just before Mercury leaves your relationship sector on the 20th. Grab a chance to talk when you can or arrange an important meeting or interview.
There’s also a glorious New Moon in Taurus on the 26th, a symbol of new beginnings. So whether you’re rekindling love, falling in love or letting go of love, this isn’t a month when love can stand still. Engage fully with the process, be patient and kind but recognise when someone’s behaviour is shabby and be clear about what you deserve.
The other key areas to focus on in April are your work and routine, your lifestyle and your health. This is because of lively activity in Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. The Sun starts the month in Aries where it remains until the 19th.
There’s a Full Moon on the 11th that cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac, lighting up this same sector of your chart. Full Moons are illuminating and this is a powerful Full Moon because it pulls in the Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto T-square which dominates the heavens for much of 2017.
This could out to be a dramatic time for you, perhaps because you’re striving to break free from a position or a person that holds you back. If you’re bored with your work, you may be seeking pastures new. If you want to reboot your health, you could be looking for alternative treatments or remedies.
The Easter weekend is important too as this may offer you a chance to do things differently. The Sun connects with spontaneous Uranus on Friday 14th and teams up with sensible Saturn on Monday 17th.
So look for new ways to improve what you already do. Find an inventive solution to an old problem. If money’s held you back in the past, you could come up with a brilliant idea on how to solve a personal issue, related to your work or your health.
It is important not to give up whilst at the same time recognising which doors are closed to you and where it’s worth pushing a little harder. Communication planet Mercury retreats into Aries and your work and health sector on the 20th and remains on go slow until May 3rd.
This suggests a theme of second chances and it’s the ideal time to review and reassess your situation. There will be surprises along the way, most prominently on the 14th and 28th, but you can make progress as long as you’re prepared to take one step forward and one step back.
Think of this period as preparation for what’s to come. Sow seeds that can grow and flourish, take a well-calculated risk, dare to be different. Action planet Mars, your ruler, also changes signs on the 21st when it enters multitasking Gemini.
Another indication to keep your options open, especially where work and money are concerned. The turning point comes mid-May when you discover which new work or health route is your fast track to success.
