Sagittarius (22 November-21 December)
Mars, planet of action, is in one of the earth signs Virgo throughout November. This puts the spotlight on your career and where you’re heading in life. On the 5th, Mars is joined by Venus, the planet that represents all the good things in life, moving into another of the earth signs, Capricorn, where she remains until early March 2014.
Earth signs tend to be hard workers and whatever they begin, they’re in it for the long haul, so when it comes to money and work, the same theory applies for you; knuckle down and work steadily to achieve those long-term goals and aims.
You tend to get nothing for free when planets are in earth signs, rather hard work and persistence are rewarded so this is a fine time to be wrestling with your game plan for 2014 and beyond. Why not go great guns and work on your 5 or 10 year plan and where you want to be with regard to money, work and success.
This is all well and good but being a Sagittarius you much prefer the get-rich-quick route to success and seeing your fortunes turn around overnight. If you are an entrepreneurial, risk-taking kind of Sagittarius then you may want to do things differently but it’s not going to be easy. The Uranus-Pluto square which has been dominating the heavens since 2010 and will continue until 2015 is in action again this week. The square’s exact on the 1st and on the 15th, Venus joins the party.
Pluto is in Capricorn and your money sector and square to Uranus, the planet that’s wild about taking risks and gambling. You can play double or quits on or around these dates but to be honest, you’re more likely to lose than win. It’s your shout but it’s a volatile energy that’s unpredictable.
A better bet is to look back to your past to help you. This may come in the form of a benefactor, a favour that you can call in or simply learning from past mistakes. With Mercury retrograde until the 10th you’re wise to mull things over, reflect and contemplate rather than take action, at least until that date. Mercury in the depth sign Scorpio suggests that if you dig deep you’ll gain great insight or understanding that can help and don’t forget that link to your past.
Family too are going to be there for you at this time of year and what takes place on or around the weekend of the 9th/10th is especially significant. This is when Mercury’s on the turn bringing new information to light or the news you’ve been waiting for and Mercury teams up with Neptune not once but twice on the 9th and 11th in your home and family sector. Here’s where answers lie whether you can ask a family member to help you out with regard to work or money or you pull together and share and care for one another. Mercury makes a host of planetary aspects this month many of them helpful so get on the phone, set up meetings, give yourself a good talking to, whatever it is that will help you make progress and move forward.
The New Moon on the 3rd embraces a similar theme to Mercury turning direct because it’s a solar eclipse and eclipses often bring what’s hidden to light. As an eclipse involves the karmic nodes of the chart, you reap what you sow and this may also link to your past or to a greater understanding about your situation. Layers are being uncovered this month and peeled away to reveal the authentic you or a deeper level of wisdom. Think ‘talking cure’ or buy yourself a personal development book and get to know yourself better.
It’s not just about you however as relationships come under the cosmic spotlight as well because Mercury is your partner planet. Mercury’s busy cycle this month signals key conversations and talking about things that matter. Admittedly Mercury is still hidden away in the sign before yours Scorpio until the beginning of next month but if you’re married or in a relationship, there’s a real opportunity for you to work together and help each other out in whichever way you can. New love may have to wait for now but that’s not to say you can’t be ready and waiting when the time comes.
Finally on the 22nd the Sun enters your sign of Sagittarius and you can breathe a sigh of relief as your confidence and energy return in spades. This is your cue to arrange some nights out, plan a holiday or day trip and get back on track with what you want to achieve.
