Mercury Moves
Mercury’s on the move this month as it retreats back into Aquarius on the 4th. This is still the Mercury retrograde phase but it could feel easier for you once Mercury leaves behind the watery world of emotional Pisces.
Pisces rules your home and family sector, your past and where you come from. When Mercury is retrograde in this sector of your horoscope, sometimes you’re transported back into the past or you find that your emotions are foreground as sentiments run strong.
Once Mercury is back in Aquarius, there’s less floating around and confusion and more structure and logic. Mercury works better in an air sign than it does in a water sign. Aquarius also rules your communication sector. Therefore, you may find that you’re thinking more clearly and it’s a good idea to start making lists and manage your time well.
Mercury’s change of direction comes on the 10th when Mercury switches bak to forward motion after three weeks on go-slow. This is often a significant turning point, whether important information comes to light or you hear news you’ve been waiting on.
For you, it’s a positive date to chase up correspondence or get back in touch with anyone who’s gone quiet on you. Reopen the lines of communication once Mercury’s back up to speed.
Saturn Enters Aquarius
Mercury remains in Aquarius until the 16th but there’s a more important planetary shift taking place. This is the fact that Saturn enters Aquarius on the 22nd where it remains until July 1st. Saturn then returns to Aquarius on December 17th where it stays for the subsequent two years.
This is an important planetary move as it takes Saturn 30 years to circuit the zodiac. If you’re old enough, think back to the last time Saturn was in Aquarius and what was important for you then. This is your communication sector, ruling the spoken and written word and linked to study and teaching.
As Saturn rules commitment and discipline, you might be considering a course of study or want to train as a teacher and pass on your wisdom. This is a strong transit for writing too and becoming a voice of authority.
For some of you, this may coincide with taking on a more significant role in your community, your neighbourhood. Aquarius rules siblings and close relatives. However, as Saturn is the planet of endings, this could also be a time when you decide to take a step back from a leadership role.
Home & Family
This may be linked to what’s happening within your family, at home or with regard to your career or future path. Returning to the star sign, Pisces, this area of your life continues to pull you forwards. The Sun is in Pisces until the 20th and Mercury returns to Pisces on the 16th, although no longer retrograde.
Therefore, the ebb and flow of family life, your legacy, your connection to the past continues to draw you in. The Full Moon on the 9th highlights these key issues and the Full Moon is a time of clarity and intuition. This is when the Sun in Pisces and your home and family sector opposes the Moon in Virgo and your career and vocation sector.
During this Full Moon, you may feel more emotional as your sentiments are stirred. It’s a good date for making decisions related to your work and family. You may find your priorities shifting. Or perhaps, external circumstances mean that you need to rethink your working life or your commitment to loved ones.
Also, when Mercury is back in Pisces from the 16th onwards, you could reconsider a home move or be ready to get back in touch with someone from your past. Follow wherever your intuition leads you and tie up any loose ends in these areas of your life.
Money Matters
Money is a key factor this month, thanks to the emphasis on the star sign Capricorn and your personal money sector. This is where you find Jupiter, your ruling planet, and Jupiter remains here all year. It’s active this month on the 11th, 20th and 28th.
Also, action planet Mars is in Capricorn until the 30th. The key dates here are the 20th when Mars and Jupiter unite and the 23rd when Mars and Pluto unite. The Mars/Jupiter conjunction is fiery and feisty and requires bold moves around money matters. As Jupiter is the planet of luck and good fortune, you may receive a gift or bonus. It’s potentially a good date to take a risk around money.
Three days later on the 23rd, the Mars/Pluto conjunction is less convincing. You may find yourself in a battle around money. Or perhaps, you’re dealing with a debt or loss. Certainly, Pluto invites you to go in deep and this whole combination feels intense.
You need to be bold and courageous when it comes to money matters and be clear where your intentions lie. Also, ensure you value yourself highly and you don’t allow other people to dent your confidence. If you need to cut your losses, you could choose to do during this period.
However, note that Saturn leaves Capricorn on the 22nd and this could be the start of an easier period for you financially. Saturn’s been in Capricorn since December 2017 and it can coincide with lack or hardship.
You may be grateful for Saturn moving on, although it does dip back into Capricorn for the last six months of the year. Certainly, it looks as if there’s going to be a significant shift around money and finances during this key period in the month.
Other factors to consider include Venus in Taurus from the 5th onwards. Taurus rules your work and health sector and Venus is the planet of relating. Therefore, ensure that work is social and you have supportive people in your life on a daily basis. This combination can be fun and is great for teamwork.
Fire Sign Joy
Finally, the Sun moves into fire sign Aries on the 20th, the day of the Equinox. You may feel a surge of energy on or around this date. Sometimes, it can be unsettling for you when planets are lolling around in emotional water signs. You prefer action, motivation and spontaneity.
This comes in spades once the Sun is in Aries followed by a New Moon in Aries on the 24th. Set some new intentions around love and romance, children and pregnancy, entertainment, creative projects, luck and play. Bring more joy and pleasure into your life and do more of what you love.
