Queen Elizabeth II: The End of an Era

The Queen passed away yesterday, September 8, 2022, at 96 years of age. She has been a symbol of constancy in this country for so many years. In fact, you have to be in your 70’s not to have known the Queen as your monarch throughout your lifetime.

Elizabeth became Queen on February 6, 1952 and this year 2022 was her Platinum Jubilee. Her passing is a sad occasion for so many people.

Last year, I wrote an article about The Queen and Her Prince when Prince Phillip passed away on April 9, 2021. The Queen & Prince Phillip were married for 73 years. Hopefully, it’s some comfort to her family that the two have been reunited.

Textbook Taurus

The Queen’s Sun sign is Taurus and she was born on April 21, 1926. She is a classic symbol of the earth sign as the longest-reigning British Monarch and having a long-lasting marriage.

The earth signs represent longevity and the ability to focus on long-term goals and keep walking towards them one step at a time. Taurus in particular is the sign of the plodder; persistent, constant, enduring and capable of creating a lasting legacy.

Born To Rule

Was Elizabeth born to rule? When you look at her natal chart, the answer is yes as she has the sign of Scorpio on her Midheaven and Saturn, the planet of authority and respect, is in conjunction to this focal point in her horoscope.

The Queen’s Midheaven is 25 Scorpio and her Saturn is at 24 Scorpio. The Midheaven represents your career & vocation and your future path. What’s most significant about the Queen’s horoscope is that Saturn is her ruling planet as she was born with a Capricorn Ascendant.

Her role in life was to rule her country and she did so in a dignified and respectful manner, so typical of her Capricorn Ascendant, her Taurus Sun and her ruling planet Saturn on the Midheaven. You could say she gave up her personal life to serve her country.

When the Queen died, there was a Moon-Saturn conjunction, a fitting symbol for the end of her life on the physical plane. She came into this world with Saturn dominant in her horoscope and left this world under Saturn’s gaze.

King Charles & Prince William

Her son Charles is now King Charles III at 73 years of age. Many astrologers have said in recent years that Charles wouldn’t become King. Unlike his mother, he has no planets conjunct the Midheaven, the point in the horoscope which denotes your vocation and your status in the public eye.

The planetary body that resides in Charles’ 10th house, his career sector, is the Moon. The Moon is a symbol of the mother and his Moon is at 0° Taurus conjunct the Queen’s Sun at 0° Taurus. This emphasises the power of his mother’s role in his own life and their close connection.

Charles was born with his Sun at 22° Scorpio close to the placing of the Queen’s Saturn at 24° Scorpio and her Midheaven at 25° Scorpio. Another extraordinary connection between the two. Also perhaps, a nod to him only becoming King (Sun) on her death (Saturn).

Prince William has a similar planetary configuration to the Queen insofar as his ruling planet is conjunct the Midheaven, like the Queen’s ruling planet Saturn. With a Sagittarius Ascendant, William’s ruling planet is Jupiter on the Midheaven, which is why some astrologers believed he was born to be King, just as Elizabeth was born to be Queen.

Plus, William’s Jupiter is at 0° Scorpio exactly opposite the Queen’s Sun at 0° Taurus. His Midheaven is 2° Scorpio and it will be interesting to see what happens during the next Solar Eclipse at 2° Scorpio which falls exactly on his career point on October 25, 2022. Perhaps, there will be another twist before Charles is crowned King.

Eclipses often play out more prevalently in the lives of leaders than everyday people. The current Scorpio/Taurus eclipse cycle is powerful for all the key royals. This eclipse cycle began in November 2021 and completes in October 2023 and has coincided with the sad passing of the Queen and a new King for Britain.

The Queen, a textbook Taurus, is a perfect example of a loyal and lasting ruler and will be sorely missed. May she rest in peace.

  1. Hi Sally, thank you for sharing the Royal´s astrology. What do you think about Harry, he shares a Scorpio MC with Ruling planet Saturn conjunct his Capricorn AC. Same like the Queen. Meghan is born July 4th – as Queen Mummy – and 4 days before Roger Federer.

    1. Yes, Harry has a similar signature to the Queen – Capricorn ASC, ruling planet Saturn conjunct Scorpio Midheaven. Although with the Queen, the conjunction is a lot tighter so more powerful. Themes of duty & responsibility that for Harry seem to be playing out regarding his personal family. And, as we know a symbol doesn’t mean just one thing. So, for Harry, it seems to be about cutting himself off from the path laid out for him at birth and turning his back on the Royal family – to some extent at least. I think it’s great that Meghan is a Leo – the royal sign 🙂

      1. Thank you, Sally! Probably Harry will stay away from London.

I found it interesting the content of one of Meghan´s last movies “Anti Social” being about two brothers and playing at London. Maybe she and Harry will lead the Royals into their annulment. Just a thought..
