Pisces (19 February – 20 March)
It may feel as if there’s no rush as 2015 begins and yet you know that there are certain areas of your life that need your attention and fast.
Mars, the action planet, is hidden away in your chart in your previous sign of Aquarius urging you to prioritise quiet time and personal goals. On New Year’s Day, Mars opposes your ruling planet Jupiter in Leo and your work and health sector.
This is about getting your daily routine right and ensuring that your lifestyle works for you. You may want to start the new year by introducing new habits and focus more closely on your daily schedule and your health and fitness. Jupiter is boosting these areas of your life but it’s important to be clear about what you want to do. Make a list and get organised rather than your usual approach of go with the flow.
The other planetary factor that is demanding attention is the powerful Full Moon that’s growing in the heavens as 2015 gets underway. The Full Moon is exact on Monday 5th but it’s in play throughout the first weekend of the new year as it links in to the Uranus-Pluto square. At the Full Moon emotions are heightened and the Uranus-Pluto connection suggests drama and change.
During a Full Moon you’re drawn towards making big decisions and often you see your situation with clarity. The key areas for you with this Full Moon are money, romance, creative projects and friends. The Uranus-Pluto theme is ‘out with the old and in with the new’ so you or someone close may be making a key decision about one of these areas and you sense that it’s time to let go and move on. It’s important to deal with whatever arises swiftly so you can then engage yourself with other more personal lifestyle issues.
Your inner life and spiritual path are heightened now and it’s these areas which can benefit you the most throughout January. Changing who you are on the inside has a knock on effect on your life outside so focus on what you can do to still your busy mind, be quiet and listen to your intuition. The more peaceful your inner existence, the more you will feel in flow and find it easy to make intuitive decisions.
The New Moon on the 20th falls in Aquarius, the sign before yours, and this may be a time in the month when you’re ready to trust your intuition, go on a retreat, start a meditation or yoga course. Any activity that enhances your inner process is super helpful as the day after the New Moon, Mercury turns retrograde in Aquarius on the 21st and remains on go slow until February 11th.
This could feel confusing and it may seem as if you’re back swimming in the vast ocean. Your mind may be particularly restless, you may have more questions than answers and there’s a sense that you have to be patient whether you’re waiting on another person or you feel unsure about what next.
When Mercury is on go slow it’s important to recognise that this isn’t a time to push hard and know that as much as you would like to go directly from A to B, you’re taken all round the houses and getting lost is a key part of the process. Misunderstandings are possible and it’s only when Mercury turns direct mid-February that you sense more clearly where you’re heading. You may also by then be ready to reveal a secret or find that someone tells you a confidence but whilst Mercury’s on go slow, you’re out of the loop and information is hidden.
Yet there’s another planetary energy that’s moving you forward sometimes relentlessly and this is Mars, the action planet, which enters your sign of Pisces on the 12th where it remains until late February. You have to take action when Mars is in your sign even if sometimes you’re not sure what you’re doing or where you’re going. It may be that you only discover what works or doesn’t work for you by experiencing it directly. Rather than overthink a situation, be bold and take direct action.
Saturn is now in Sagittarius and your career sector and on the 15th Saturn clashes with Mars in your sign. For some, this is about a shift in work or career and a change of direction. You may find that one door’s closed to you necessitating direct action on your part or perhaps you realise that a vocational path has come to a natural close.
Mars teams up with your modern ruler Neptune in Pisces on the 20th and this is an important time to consider both who you are and what you do in the world. You may be more in touch with your compassionate nature and want to make a difference to others. You may sense that there’s a mismatch between who you are and the work that you do. Either way, this can be a time of great insight, painful as it may be at times, and for some it’s life that steps in to signpost a completely new direction.
The love planet Venus joins Mars in Pisces on the 27th and love takes priority. Yet Saturn is square to Venus on the 30th suggesting a reality check with regard to more than one area of your life. Follow where life leads and see who or what bubbles up and comes foreground. Whilst Mercury’s on go slow, you don’t have to rush anything and come mid-February you will be glad you bided your time.
