February is the month that includes Valentine’s Day (14th) and this time around you have the lovers of the heavens, Venus and Mars, in your own sign of Pisces.

Pisces is the sign that rules your personal goals and ambitions, your name, your image and appearance and when Venus is in this sector of your chart you want to look good and feel good. It’s a sensual combination as Venus rules beauty and art.

Look after yourself in the coming month, be pampering and sensual; update your image, hit the spa or the hairdressers or treat yourself to a new outfit. Venus in Pisces is an attractive combination so use this to manifest good things in your life. You’re often more popular when Venus is in your sign and it’s a wonderful time to be social.

Mars in Pisces is a different kettle of fish as Mars is the action planet who wants to go directly from A to B at top speed. Mars in one of the water signs ends up going with the flow and at times this means going round in circles. It can be confusing, not knowing where you’re heading or why.

Yet being a Pisces you’re a master at going with the flow so explore life to the full, take in the view wherever you’re heading and don’t worry too much about the destination but rather focus on the path you’re taking one day at a time.

Plus up until February 11th, Mercury, the planet of communication, is retrograde and this is notoriously a time to slow down the pace and not make any big decisions. Information remains hidden, facts are distorted, there are misunderstandings and plans are changed.

Mercury is retrograde, i.e. on go slow in Aquarius and the most hidden sector of your chart. This turns your attention inward as you deal with a secret or confidence, inner or private information. Use this period to research, reflect, study, review, reassess but more than anything do so at a leisurely pace.

Things start to change once Mercury turns direct and the 11th may bring in good news or information that helps you decide what you want to do. For some this is a time when you’re contemplating the next three years and if any of your questioning is work or career-related, then it’s important not to rush any decision.

This is because you now have Saturn up at the top of your chart in the sign of Sagittarius, ruling your work and career, your vocation, your status and reputation and where you’re heading in life. Saturn urges you to take life seriously and as Saturn is going to be in this sector of your chart for a few years, don’t rush into any major work decision. Take your time, look at all the options. Consider. Consider. Consider.

Mercury teams up with Saturn twice this month, first on February 5th and second on February 19th. The second connection is most important as it falls the day after a New Moon in Aquarius on February 18th, a sign of new beginnings and the chance to make a fresh start. This is the most helpful period for you in the month and a time when you can trust your intuition and your insights. Talk to someone in a position of authority and voice what you want to do. Start the ball rolling.

The trickiest period falls between the 23rd and the 26th when the Sun in your sign of Pisces clashes with the Saturn-Neptune square. This is a big deal for you and it focuses on your personal ambitions and your work and vocational goals. There may be a certain amount of fear around what you want to do and taking a big step up. Try and discern between what’s real and what’s not real. Is your fear holding you back and limiting you? Are your doubts self-imposed and stopping you from following your dreams?

What will help any decision that’s work-related is the fact that on February 20th, the relationship planets, Venus and Mars, both enter Aries and the money sector of your chart. Then two days later on February 22nd they conjoin in the heavens.

This can bring in good news with regard to a partner’s work or finances; you get a real boost or support from the people you love and it feels like a fresh injection of energy. You’re ready to invest in your future with someone you admire, a person who can help influence your future direction in life.

This is a big year for you and it’s important to get things right at the beginning. Know that whatever you say ‘yes’ to on the work and career front, you’re going to be in it for the long haul and it’s important to be committed from the beginning. You may experience some fear or doubt at times but the last week of the month points the way forward.
