Pisces (19 February – 20 March)
Take care on the money front as soon as December begins. There’s a volatile planetary aspect between Mars in Libra and Uranus in Aries on the 1st. This combination is impulsive and potentially angry. Steer clear of trouble and resolve to put money struggles behind you.
What takes place at the start of the month will also reveal where you need to move on and who’s not helping you. Mars remains in Libra for the first week and your aim is to be more independent, cut ties that bind you and look after yourself. Think less drama and stress and do whatever’s right for you.
This is a big month of the year for you for different reasons. Firstly, there’s busy planetary activity in the sign of Sagittarius, ruling your career and vocation. The Sun is here until the 21st and both the Full Moon on the 3rd and the New Moon on the 18th highlight your career sector and your foundations.
This is about getting things right on the work front and, for some Pisces individuals, it looks as if December could be particularly busy, although exciting too. In fact, there’s a real opportunity now to make a fast buck, whether you’re offered overtime or you line up a job for the holiday period.
Top dates for career and money matters are the 10th, 16th and 20th. Be innovative in your approach to money. This isn’t about long-term goals, it’s more a way of boosting your income and fast.
There is one proviso, however, and this is the fact that communication planet Mercury is also in Sagittarius. Mercury turns retrograde from December 3rd to 23rd, and this often coincides with a period of miscommunication or misunderstandings.
This is another reason why work may be chaotic throughout December, whether you’re unsure of your shifts or people are coming and going and nothing runs smoothly. Certainly, it’s not the time to make a big decision about your career or future direction but at the same time, you need to show willing.
It’s always a good idea to be ultra flexible when Mercury’s on go slow but don’t listen to hearsay or rumours either. The truth is only revealed once Mercury turns direct and you might need to stop completely before you can think about what next. When you’re in a busy period, it’s almost impossible to know what you’re doing or what’s going on.
There could also be a quick solution to a tricky problem once Mercury is up to speed. The 23rd is the date when you’re likely to hear the results of a job application or how your work position is going to change in 2018.
The other planet in Sagittarius is Venus, the planet of relating, and it remains here from the 1st to the 25th. It’s important, therefore, to get the right people on your side and if you’re having fun, you can usually cope with any stressful work period better. If you’re looking for love, love and work are connected when Venus is in this sector of your horoscope.
Another important move this month is action planet, Mars, entering your fellow water sign of Scorpio on the 9th. This puts the spotlight on travel, education and any area of life that expands your experience of life, philosophy and spirituality included. If you’re involved in the media, publishing or Law, now’s the time to get ahead and create a buzz about what you’re doing. For some, this signals a last-minute holiday or a chance to travel or be in contact with friends who live abroad.
Mars joins Jupiter in Scorpio and on the 3rd, there’s a divine connection between your co-rulers, Jupiter and Neptune. This is special for you and it’s important to mark this event. Ideally, you’ll be somewhere outside of your normal environment and in a place where you can allow your dreams to unfurl. Close to water or the sea is one possibility.
When you find your place in life or you get in touch with the meaning of life, then you feel at home. Explore whatever calls you during this period, whether it’s a spiritual or artistic path. Find your muse and go with the flow. This is a gorgeous planetary combination for you and it continues throughout the first half of 2018.
Another important event this month is the fact that Saturn leaves Sagittarius and enters Capricorn on the 20th. This is no small planetary shift and you may feel as if it’s one you’ve been building towards for some time.
Sagittarius is the sign up at the top of your horoscope so it focuses on your career and vocation, your reputation and status. It’s about where in life you take on responsibility or a leadership position. For some Pisces individuals, the last couple of years will have been a hard slog.
Perhaps you’ve been in a job that you haven’t enjoyed or which has been exhausting, You may have worked with a difficult boss or felt that you weren’t fulfilling your true potential. Whatever your situation, there’s now a chance to turn things around to suit you better.
This starts with saying no rather than yes, whether you turn down a leadership position or let go of a responsibility that’s weighed heavy upon you. Some of you may already have made the decision to change careers and accept a lifestyle that focuses on a better work/life balance. Quality of life is important now and when Saturn moves on there’s a symbolic closing of doors.
Saturn has to move somewhere and on the 20th it enters the earth sign Capricorn, where it remains until 2020. This highlights your friend and group sector and it’s here where endings are likely as well as new commitments.
This might be about prioritising your social life and making time to visit old friends who you haven’t seen for some time. It’s also about creating community and finding your place as a helpful member of society. Doing your bit for the world and the environment and joining together with other people to find your common voice, your shared goals.
This is your cue to stop playing lone ranger and create a successful team of people working alongside you. It’s about using networks and professional associations to make your life easier so you can enjoy sharing your vision, your skills and expertise with others. It’s about what you give and what you receive from the wider community. Ultimately this is where your happiness and fulfilment lie.
