Pisces (19 February – 20 March)
There’s a stop-start feel to the month of December and even though some of your astrology is go-getting and dynamic, there are other priorities too and an increasing desire to slow down the pace.
One reason for this is the fact that two key planets, Venus and Mars, are in Aquarius and your preceding sign for much of the month. Mars is here until the 19th and Venus enters Aquarius on the 7th where it remains until the end of the year.
When planets are in this sector of your chart, sometimes you choose more solitude and quiet time. You might be keen to take care of other people, whether family or someone close, or people worse off than yourself.
Your sign of Pisces is linked to charitable gestures and this time of year is perfect to help out and make a difference. Some of you might even decide to volunteer over Christmas when the planet of love, Venus, is strong in the most caring sector of your chart.
This also hints at your love relationships. With the lovers of the heavens, Venus and Mars, hidden away, you might be involved in an affair or have unrequited feelings for someone close. This could be a friend because from the 19th communication planet Mercury is retrograde or on go slow in Capricorn and your friendship sector.
If you do care for someone close to you, the period over Christmas and New Year isn’t the best time to declare your feelings. There is a gorgeous New Moon in Capricorn and your friendship on the 29th which links in to key planets in your sign of Pisces on the 27th, 28th and 30th which is great for socialising.
You might also connect with someone special in the days between Christmas and New Year but it’s only when Mercury turns direct on January 8th 2017 that you will know whether love is to last. There’s invariably a hidden agenda when Mercury is on go slow.
Mars enters your sign of Pisces on the 19th and this does feel passionate but choose where you channel your energy carefully rather than dive in feet first. There’s a hidden theme to love for most of the month of December. Ideal for furtive liaisons but not so promising for a truthful relationship. Enjoy yourself but don’t feel you have to rush into anything.
This is also likely to be a big month for you with regard to work and money. The Sun is in Sagittarius and your career and vocation sector until the 21st and the Full Moon lights up the foundations of your chart on the 14th. This is the date to focus on your work/life balance and to notice where you’re on track and where you’re off track.
The other planet in Sagittarius is Saturn, the taskmaster of the heavens, and wherever you find Saturn in your chart is where you need to knuckle down and work hard. You can’t help but step up your game when Saturn’s in town and the 10th could be especially pertinent in this respect when the Sun and Saturn come together.
This might highlight a new responsibility for you either at work or outside of work. Being invited to take on a position of authority, as a chair or governor, for example. You could become your own boss too with Saturn is in Sagittarius or be promoted.
One thing’s for sure however and this is that you can’t wing it at work with Saturn in Sagittarius. Instead you have to get serious, work hard, manage your time well and put plans in place which help you stay focused on your long-term goals.
Sagittarius is also one of the signs that rules education so you could consider this key transit as a chance to concretise plans to learn and gain knowledge. You might be actively planning a study sabbatical or a way to fit learning or gaining new qualifications into your schedule.
It’s the end of the month when things start to fall into place and surprises can occur. This is because on December 25th, Christmas Day, there’s a stunning trine aspect between Saturn in Sagittarius and your work sector and Uranus in Aries and your money sector.
The old and the new unite in this combination whether you can find a way to update a skill or share your experience, perhaps online as Uranus rules modern technology and the internet.
Either way, this is a positive aspect and a sign that you’re on the verge of new beginnings. After a period of hard slog, you find the opening you’re looking for or recognise that a shift in attitude is what’s needed to step up your game.
However on December 26th, Boxing Day, there’s another important planetary aspect when your ruling planet Jupiter makes an opposition to Uranus in Aries and your personal money sector. Plus three days later, Uranus turns direct in the heavens.
This is an unsettled picture financially as together these two planets represent freedom, unconventionality and doing things differently. This could shake up your values and what you think about money and finances could swing dramatically calling for a new set up.
You might have a radical idea on what you want to do with your own money as you move forward into a new year. One way or another, your values are up for review and by shifting your attitude to money, your outlook on life as a whole begins to change.
It is remarkable astrology at the end of the year which could signify a chance to take a leap of faith and take advantage of some big changes coming your way.
