Pluto Enters Aquarius – March 23rd
It doesn’t get more epic than this. The slowest-moving planet Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008 and only now does it change star sign and move into Aquarius. Pluto is the planet of power & transformation, loss & endings.
Pluto’s move into Capricorn, the sign of big business, coincided with a financial crash. Pluto is one of the planets linked to wealth and hidden riches. As God of the Underworld, there’s a link to the underworld and corruption.
It will be interesting to see what happens when Pluto enters Aquarius, the star sign linked to technology. We’re already seeing the rapid rise of AI (artificial intelligence), robotics, digitalisation and dis-information. Expect more to come, including having to pay for technology and information on the WWW – more control.
The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was from 1777-1798. This was the period in history when Uranus, the planet linked to rebellion and revolution, was discovered in 1781. And, Uranus is the modern planet that rules Aquarius.
This was the era of Independence in the USA, also the French Revolution and a time of sweeping change and social reform. These themes may be reawakened or reinvented with Pluto moving through Aquarius, the star sign linked to the collective.
Although, let’s not forget that even though Aquarius is the star sign linked to equality, it’s a fixed star sign, i.e. dogmatic and stubborn.
The idealistic view of an equal society hasn’t always played out well in the past around the world, but there’s always hope for a new future and a New Age opening up.
It will take Pluto approximately 18 months to get established in Aquarius where it will then remain until 2043. Pluto’s in Aquarius from March 23 to June 11, 2023, then from January 21 to September, 2024 and finally from November 19, 2024 onwards.
Saturn Enters Pisces – March 7th
Saturn’s move into Pisces isn’t on the epic scale of Pluto’s move into Aquarius, but is still significant. For starters, Saturn is the planet of rules and regulation, authority, discipline and boundaries.
And, since December 2017, Saturn has been in either Capricorn or Aquarius, its two signs of rulership. Saturn rules with a firm hand during this period.
Saturn’s move into Pisces on March 7th, the last star sign and an emotional water sign, is a whole new ball game.
Pisces’ co-ruler is Neptune, God of the sea. Will this be a compassionate, kind and caring Saturn? Or, will Saturn’s realm of reality dissolve into fantasy and the world of dreams?
The last time Saturn was in Pisces was 1993-1996 and this time around, Saturn remains in Pisces until 2026.
Pisces rules liquid and drugs, the media, creativity and spirituality. We may see new rules and regulations put in place in these key areas, also our seas and rivers.
Alternatively, Saturn in Pisces could make the unreal real. What we believe in and experience could take a cosmic shift over the next two years.
Pisces rules all things beyond the everyday. It’s the realm of fantasy and leads us out into the wider universe and deep into the collective unconscious.
Watch out for gurus and shamans who are lured by Saturn’s desire to dominate and rule with a firm hand.
Yet, all of us may find our lives enhanced by exploring the subtler side of energies, going on a spiritual journey or pushing back the boundaries of art, creativity, music, poetry and what’s possible.
Your monthly horoscopes will explore what these two major shifts mean for you. Here’s a quick review of what else is coming up:
Lucky Dates – March 2nd & 28th
Jupiter makes ‘good fortune’ conjunctions to Venus (love/money) on the 2nd and Mercury (communication/the mind) on the 28th. Think big love/big money (Venus/Jupiter) and big news (Mercury/Jupiter). These two lucky conjunctions takes place in fire sign Aries, great for taking a leap of faith.
Full Moon – March 7th
On the same day as Saturn enters Pisces, there’s a Full Moon cutting across the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac on the 7th.
Full Moons are illuminating, they bring clarity and often coincide with completion or culmination. This Full Moon may reveal more about what Saturn’s move into Pisces is going to be about for you and the world.
However, the Full Moon is square to Mars (anger/passion) and things could turn feisty. A Full Moon on its own promises heightened emotions and drama. Mars adds heat to the mix.
In addition, the period from the 14th – 17th is potentially tricky and slippery and may require careful navigation.
Equinox – March 20th/New Moon – March 21st
The Equinox takes place when the Sun enters Aries on the 20th, the first sign of the zodiac. In the northern hemisphere, this heralds the start of spring and an ideal time to sow seeds and initiate growth.
One day later and there’s a New Moon at 0° Aries on the 21st, pure potential. Use this period in the month to start something new, launch a project or take a gamble. It’s a go-for-it period.
This is the first of two New Moons in Aries. The second takes place on April 20th at 29° Aries and will be a Solar Eclipse. The start of a new eclipse cycle – more on that next month.
Mars Moves On – March 25th
Action planet Mars is finally out of its shadow phase on the 16th. This completes its retrograde phase that began at the end of October 2022 and, in some cases, early September 2022.
Mars leaves Gemini on the 25th and fires up water sign Cancer after an epic seven months in the star sign of communication. Has anyone noticed that debates and arguments are getting angrier recently?
It’s been very noticeable in the astrology world. Hopefully, this will start to dissipate and dissolve as Mars finally moves on.

I had Pulto in Aquarius in my 11th house of friendships, and it’s been a very unpleasant experience with most of them, but I feel free from the letting go in retrospect. I’m concerned about Saturn in Pisces as that’s in my 12th house. I have mars, pisces, lillith, and Jupiter in my 12th…it’s very busy in my mind.
Thanks again for your in depth readings. I hope you are well. Maybe see you in Greece I’m still thinking about it.
