Libra Monthly Stars October 2014

HalloweenLibra (23 September – 23 October)

To say this is a big month is something of an understatement but there really is a lot going on in the heavens so do yourself a favour, pace yourself and stay calm and patient. This won’t always be easy but it’s worth giving it a try.

There are a couple of reasons why this month could turn out to be monumental. Firstly there are two eclipses taking place, a Lunar or Full Moon eclipse on the 8th and a Solar or New Moon eclipse on the 23rd. What’s really important about both eclipses for you is that Venus, your ruling planet, sits next to the Sun in both events.

In fact, the Sun and Venus are very close together throughout October. This is about being authentic and true to who you are especially in relationships. It’s also about developing a strong inner core and allowing your personality to shine and in some shape or form define who you are. You can’t hide away when the Sun and Venus are arm in arm in your sign of Libra.

This one fact does suggest that you’re going to be popular and that’s fine and dandy unless you’re socialising a tad too much or you’re accused of currying favour with someone close or you find that you develop strong feelings for someone you get to know and it’s complicated. People will like what they see when you have both the Sun and Venus together in your sign and you will be in demand.

The time when this could create issues for you is on or around the 8th when the Lunar Eclipse cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of your horoscope. Lunar or Full Moon eclipses are emotional at the best of times but at an eclipse you may feel exposed in some way. The eclipse tends to brings things that are hidden out into the open and often in dramatic fashion.

Venus is caught up in the Uranus-Pluto square one more time during the eclipse so this may be a recurring issue that’s highlighted or a familiar theme that plays out. Uranus is in your opposite sign of relationships and Pluto is down at the base of your chart ruling your home and your family. For some this eclipse signifies a split, moving away, opposing forces, different factions and finding agreement may prove tricky.

This could involve a love relationship or any important 1-to-1 partnership in your life. Eclipses are dramatic and close a door that may prove final although there is a chance for negotiation or at least coming to terms with the events that play out on or around the 8th.

This is because Mercury, the planet of communication, is also retrograde for most of the month (4th – 25th) and from the 10th onward Mercury is retrograde in your sign of Libra. Do be aware that this may indicate a muddle or misunderstanding that triggers a strong reaction from someone close and it will take a few weeks to sort things out.

Give yourself time and space to decide what you want and talk things through if necessary. The 16th/17th are especially useful for a key conversation even if you are going over the past or repeating what’s important. You may find that someone close needs time to decide their next course of action and when Mercury turns direct on the 25th, this is the time to speak up.

Mercury turning direct often brings new information to light, good news or finding the person who can help you out or help you make the progress you need. Plus earlier in the month, there’s a gorgeous Grand fire trine that links in to the Lunar Eclipse. This involves live-wire Uranus in your opposite sign of Aries trine to joyful Jupiter in Leo and your friendship sector and passionate and active Mars in your ideas sector.

Put the three together and whether it’s you or your partner, one of you will benefit greatly from turning to friends or a group for support and advice. This is where the excitement is and whatever problem or issue you need to address, old and new friends alike will be a source of inspiration. It will do you good to broaden your own horizons and team up with other people who can offer you a fresh perspective on what’s going on in your life and help you realign with the bigger picture. Grab a new adventure, join a study group, travel to a new country and here’s your opportunity to shift what’s stuck and enjoy yourself in the process.

The end of the month is also powerful when Mars enters Capricorn and your home and family sector on the 26th. This is another indication that you can get things moving and it gives you the necessary energy to deal with any home or family-related issue.

Plus there’s a Solar or New Moon Eclipse in Scorpio and your money sector on the 23rd and this is especially powerful for you as the Sun, your ruler Venus and the Moon all join forces together at 0 Scorpio. This feels like a seed point, a destiny moment and it links to feminine energy. Both Venus and the Moon are feminine planetary bodies so team up with other women, look out for an influential role model and know that girl power is strong.

A solar eclipse combines the themes of letting go and making a fresh start so be bold in your decisions and look at new ways of earning a living or improving your well-being. On the 27th and 28th the Sun and Venus team up with creative Neptune in your work and health sector. This is both healing and invigorating and puts you in a powerful position that links self-belief with a new and exciting work or lifestyle phase.
