Libra Monthly Stars January 2015

fireworksLibra (23 September – 23 October)

If you’re raring to be sociable as soon as January gets underway, go for it. New Year’s Day is brilliant for meeting up with old friends or stepping outside of your usual routine to meet new friends.

A lively Mars/Jupiter opposition picking up the social sectors of your chart is filled with fun and adventure. Make plans to start 2015 as you mean to go on and commit to a daring activity or escapade.

In fact, a lot of the month of January and the first part of 2015 is perfect to follow your curiosity, discover your passion and do more of what you love. The sign of the moment is Aquarius which rules a fun sector of your chart. This represents love affairs, children, entertainment, creative projects and living life to the full.

Mars begins the year in Aquarius and your ruler Venus joins Mars on the 3rd where she remains until the 27th. If you’re looking for love, what are you waiting for? This is the perfect time to join a dating agency, chase up someone from your past and say yes to more social invitations. Love and friendship are linked in your chart so ask a friend for an introduction or take things one step further with someone you’ve known for ages.

If you’re married or in a long-term relationship, 2015 brings you closer together as Venus and Mars are side-by-side for much of 2015. Put the fun back into your love life, enjoy social and/or leisure activities with your other half and you boost intimacy. Love and laughter go hand in hand.

For some, Uranus is creating waves in your love life and challenges come thick and fast to test your commitment early on in January. There’s a powerful Full Moon that’s growing in the heavens which culminates on Monday 5th but the first weekend of the year looks punchy as the Full Moon links in to the Uranus-Pluto square.

This puts the focus on the key areas of your life: home & family; work & career; partner & close relationships. Drama or change in one area has a knock on effect in the other areas. On one level, this is nothing new as you have been presented with similar challenges for some time. Be aware that emotions are heightened at the time of the Full Moon and you may be asked to make a big decision early on in the year.

This whole scenario is reaching its climax and in a few month’s time, there will be a finality about this situation. When Uranus and Pluto are in on the act, you know that in some area of life you have to close a door and be ready to move on. Learning to let go is part of the process.

This is another reason why it’s important to grab life by the reins and steer your chariot in the direction you choose. Developments with children, e.g. pregnancy or adoption may be foreground for you and you can make great strides now. However, timing is the key to your success as this month sees Mercury the planet of communication turn retrograde.

This takes place on the 21st, the day after a New Moon in Aquarius on the 20th. The New Moon is a key date for new beginnings with regard to children and creative projects but Mercury’s retreat the following day suggests that you then have to play a waiting game. Mercury remains on go slow until February 11th so be patient and know that whatever you start early in January is likely to come to fruition late February or early March. Plan accordingly and use the astrology to guide and help you.

There are certain key dates this month that promise excitement and are perfect for arranging something different, anything that spells romance or fun. They are the 13th and 14th when Uranus teams up in a positive aspect with your ruler Venus and sociable Mercury. Saturn too is on the act this month in the sign of Sagittarius.

This puts the focus on the spoken word and making commitments that you can keep. Sagittarius teams up with Venus and Mercury on the 4th and 5th respectively and this is another reason why the first Full Moon of 2015 is powerful for you. Saturn is the ‘get real’ planet urging you to speak up and confront any serious issues that demand your attention.

Work and health take precedence as January continues with Mars entering Pisces and this sector of your chart on the 12th followed by your ruler Venus on the 27th. The decisions you make with regard to these areas of your life can help boost your routine and your well-being. This isn’t about New Year Resolutions that don’t stick but rather adopting new habits or a mindset that make a difference in the long term. You need to think things through carefully and focus on one task at a time rather than try a scattergun approach.

Make sure you can see the difference between going with the flow and feeling unhappy or disillusioned. Sometimes you have to go through a period of unclarity or confusion before you come out the other end and know what has to change in your life to make your everyday situation flow with ease.

Listen carefully to any dissatisfaction and answers will come although not immediately in January. Think of this as a process and see where the journey leads you especially whilst Mercury is on go slow. This encourages you to be reflective, to review your situation and reach out for second or even third chances.
