Libra (23 September-23 October)
Your planet Venus is on the move early in February when it enters your fellow air sign of Aquarius on the 2nd. Aquarius rules the sector of your chart that represents fun, enjoyment, play, romance, creativity and children.
If you’ve been confined at home of late for whatever reason, you may decide to make a conscious effort to socialise more and create more entertainment in your life.
The 6th and 7th add up to a lively picture as Venus makes connections with first Uranus (spontaneity) and then Jupiter (opportunity). Try something new, book a holiday, be adventurous and ensure you make the most of this lively combination. There’s also a New Moon in Aquarius on the 10th and the New Moon welcomes a fresh start, new intentions and taking the initiative.
Both the 6th and 10th are excellent dates if you want to ask someone out or find love. Aquarius rules romance in your chart and with your planet Venus in Aquarius you’re the one calling the shots. Do something special with your other half or try something different if you’re looking for love.
The only difficult side to all of this may concern money as Saturn in your money sector squares Venus on the 11th. It’s important to be realistic about finances with Saturn in the mix and know where your limits lie. On the 18th, however, Saturn turns retrograde which weakens it and suggests that any difficulties regarding money will start to ease once Saturn backs off.
In addition, on the 12th and the 16th, Saturn makes helpful aspects to planets in Pisces and your work sector. These are good dates if you’re looking for work or want to secure your financial future in some way. Your home or family are linked to money matters so involve the people close to you in your financial decisions and work together as a team.
This is an important month for your work as Mars, the action planet, moves into Pisces and your work sector on the 2nd followed by Mercury, planet of communication, on the 5th. This suggests its prime time to pick up the pace at work, whether you’re seeking it, looking for a new contract or simply wish to play a more active role at work. It’s about bringing fresh energy to what you do and in addition, networking and making new contacts.
Nothing is particularly straightforward this month, however, for two reasons. Firstly, the planet Neptune is in Pisces and Neptune is prominent this month connecting with Mars on the 4th, Mercury on the 6th, the Sun on the 21st and Venus on the 28th. Neptune calls out your artistic abilities and your creativity. It’s an inspirational planet associated with art, music, poetry, photography and film; any theme that incorporates images and the prospect of escaping a humdrum existence.
With Neptune strong, you may be yearning for a deeper meaning in what you do on a daily level. Dreams and schemes play a key part in your life and Neptune’s influence heightens your intuition. To be happy at work, you either require a job that inspires you or work that helps and serves others. This fits your sign of Libra and if you’re a typical Libran, it’s important to either use your creative abilities or incorporate relating into what you do, working alongside others and for others.
The downside of Neptune is that you feel dissatisfied with your situation and want something more. You see life through rose-coloured glasses which isn’t easy if your reality doesn’t match your ideal. You may be tempted to dash from one experience to another, trying out new things to satisfy your yearning for something different and exciting. This month’s astrological picture, which also includes Jupiter squaring the planets in Pisces, is the planetary equivalent of a sensation seeker. So be aware of this tendency and instead of charging off at full rate looking for the next hit of excitement, slow down, be still and listen to your inner voice.
Mercury the communication planet turns retrograde in Pisces on the 23rd and remains on go slow until 17th March. This is never a good time to make big decisions but rather to reflect and do research. Bide your time especially where new work’s concerned and if you can wait until mid-March before deciding what to do, make it happen.
Often you find that new information comes to light once Mercury turns direct and you feel more certain what it is you want from your work and everyday routine. Health too comes under Pisces’ rulership in your chart, so keep a close eye on your well-being especially if you know the hedonist within you wants to come out and play.
