Libra (23 September – 23 October)
Your ruling planet, Venus, enters Capricorn on the 3rd where it remains until the end of February. Capricorn rules your home and family sector, your past and where you come from. There’s been a lot of activity in this sector of your horoscope over the last few months if not years and it’s not always been easy.
Therefore, having Venus in this same sector of your horoscope feels stabilising or, at least, helps you come to accept your current situation. There’s always a theme of duty and responsibility when planets are in sensible Capricorn.
This month, the key dates are the 18th and 23rd, when Venus runs into Saturn and Pluto respectively. This is the time to set new guidelines or keep firm boundaries in place around home and family affairs.
You might be stepping in to look after a family member, either younger or older, or perhaps you’re determined to sort out a home situation that’s less than ideal. It’s certainly a positive month to strengthen your foundations and get back on the right side of family. Either that, or recognise where your limits are and let a difficult relationship go.
People are important you being a Sun Libra and this month especially so. You currently have the planet of passion, Mars, in Aries and your relationship sector, where it remains until the 14th.
Mars moved into Aries on New Year’s Day and it’s a fast and furious energy. As Mars is your partner planet, this might be about your other half rather than you. You could have fallen head-over-heels in love or find yourself being whizzed along when you’re in someone else’s orbit.
This month, Mars makes two major planetary aspects which could be revealing. Firstly, Mars in Aries clashes with Pluto in Capricorn at the base of your horoscope on the 2nd. Take care close to this date that you don’t have an almighty row with someone in your life.
Note that this takes place the day before your planet, Venus, moves into Capricorn. Therefore, this confirms that Venus in Capricorn may be about reconciliation following on from a fall out. Try not to be overly dramatic on or around the 2nd and do what you can to calm someone close to you, if they’re out of control.
Mars continues its journey through Aries and on the 13th, Mars teams up with unpredictable and spontaneous Uranus. These two planets have been involved in a long love affair but they’re coming to the end of their partnership.
Mars leaves Aries on the 14th and enters earth sign Taurus followed by Uranus’ move into Taurus on March 6th. Uranus won’t return to your relationship sector for another 84 years. This could be good news for you if personal relationships or business partnerships have been volatile and unpredictable over the last eight years.
Mars is certainly going out with a bang so expect the unexpected. Again, this seems linked to someone else in your life, perhaps someone who’s behaving badly or who’s out of order. It’s an impulsive planetary combination and makes for sudden moves. The trouble is that there’s no going back after a Mars/Uranus encounter. It’s on – or off.
This will certainly add a dramatic element , especially with regard to close relationships. However, talk planet Mercury and the Sun are both in Aquarius and your romance sector until the 10th and 18th respectively. Therefore, this could be about new love or someone you meet who’s keen to leap into a new relationship with gay abandon.
The New Moon on the 4th lights up your romance sector and Mars in Aries teams up with Mercury on the 8th. All in all, there’s some fun and playful astrology taking place. This can light up your relationships but it may also coincide with an exceptionally sociable few weeks. In fact, this is a good time to line up entertainment or learn a new skill or hobby.
If you’re typical of your star sign, you’re a social animal. This is one period of the year when you can make swift progress and enjoy yourself when you’re out and about.
Work and money matters pick up speed in the second half of February. Although, there’s a slower and gentler vibe to these areas. It’s in your relationships where life feels fast and exciting.
Communication planet Mercury enters Pisces and your work and health sector on the 10th followed by the Sun on the 18th. Plus, Mars enters earth sign Taurus and your joint finance sector on the 14th where it remains until the end of March.
These areas in your life are where you can make steady progress, whether you’re looking for work or you’re seeking a healthy work/life balance. Financial security also brings emotional security, so consider how or where you can improve your finances after the 14th.
The Full Moon on the 19th highlights the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac. This is a good time to take care of yourself and other people as well. There’s a theme of being of service which suits the compassionate side of your nature, whether you choose to volunteer or you give support and advice in other ways.
The second half of February is a good time to steady the ship both at work and with regard to money. Don’t wait until next month when Mercury will be retrograde from the 5th to the 28th.
Finally, Valentines Day on the 14th, is all about the other person. If you’re to have a romantic encounter, it’s in the hands of your partner or a new flame.
