Leo September 2017

Leo September 2017

Leo (23 July – 22 August)

September starts fast and furious as both action planet Mars and communication planet Mercury pick up where the Solar Eclipse in Leo left off on August 21st.

Both Mars and Mercury are in your sign of Leo at the start of the month and they come together on the 3rd at 28 Leo, the eclipse degree. This is lively astrology whether you’re making new plans or having to change things around in your life after last month’s eclipses.

Communication planet Mercury is retrograde on the 3rd but it turns direct in Leo on the 5th at the eclipse degree so these few days feel important. What do you have to say? What do you want or need to do that ensures you’re in a strong position?

Your sign of Leo is bold and confident but you might have lost your way during last month’s eclipses or perhaps you found it hard to shine. Alternatively, you might have been catapulted into a new role in quite a remarkable way.

Maybe you’re simply ready to put yourself first and focus on your personal goals and aims. Spontaneous Uranus in Aries is involved in the mix on the 2nd when it lines up with Mars and this is brilliant for booking a last-minute trip or choosing to say Yes to an opportunity that can open up your life in a new direction.

Often you’re able to push things through a couple of days before Mercury turns direct so the first weekend of September could prove pivotal. Once Mercury’s back up to speed on the 5th, look out for an announcement or a green light that helps you move forwards. This might be in relation to events that happened in July when Mercury first moved through your sign of Leo.

The other planet in Leo as September begins is lovely Venus and Venus, representing love and money, remains here until the 20th. So there’s less ‘sturm und drang’ after the 5th and more chance for peace and harmony in your life. The 3rd is ideal to be assertive, to lose your temper even, to get angry. Yet Venus’s influence wafts in a gentler phase.

Plus Venus teams up with three of the slower-moving planets in a pattern that lasts from the 13th to the 18th. This could spell good news for a relationship, for your love life or for agreeing a new contract that helps you financially.

This is the time to use your charm to get what you want and the 13th, 15th and 18th are wonderful dates to go out with someone, to attend a special event, to get yourself noticed. Venus teams up with your partner planets, Saturn and Uranus, during this phase.

If things were rocky in a relationship during August’s eclipses, here’s an opportunity to reach a peaceful agreement or to sort things out amicably.

Events at the end of the month could also prove significant for a relationship because, on the 28th, there’s the third and final Jupiter-Uranus opposition that began over Christmas 2016. These are the freedom planets and they come together when it’s time for change, for taking a risk or leap of faith.

On the one hand, this is about saying Yes to a new opportunity linked to travel or study, a chance to expand your knowledge and learning, to see more of the world. It could be about developments in a legal matter or hearing from a publisher. At some level it’s about getting your voice heard and sharing your ideas on a wide scale, perhaps via technology, which is Uranus’ domain.

Whatever comes your way at the end of the month, don’t dismiss it immediately however outrageous or unusual. This could be a leap of faith worth taking.

Uranus is also linked to partnership in your chart so this might be the time to break free from a relationship that’s not working out, either personal or professional. Or perhaps someone close to you makes a bold move, maybe moving abroad or setting out on a new independent path.

September is also a big month for you with regard to money matters and it’s a good time to get organised, to look after the pennies and to get on top of your finances. This might mean sorting out administrative paperwork, setting up a budget or lining up some new money targets or goals.

Virgo is the sign that rules money in your chart and it’s a key sign all month. The Sun, your ruler, is in Virgo until the 22nd and both the Full and New Moons on the 6th and 20th respectively, are linked to money for you.

The Full Moon on the 6th lines up with Neptune so be wary about money matters on or around this date. Money could be an emotional issues and Neptune can be linked to deceit or scams. Don’t be fooled by someone during the Full Moon and, in any money dealings, read the small print and pay close attention.

It’s a good month to think about the flow of money and whether you’re on track with your own money relationship. You might need to put new boundaries in place if your big-hearted nature means you’re giving away too much. The 14th is the date to note. Or perhaps you want to rethink what you give to charity or how you use your money to help others as well as fulfil your own needs.

It all depends on your current situation but the most powerful date for money is the 20th and the New Moon. This is when all five of the personal planets, the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars are in Virgo so it’s here where there’s a strong and dominant energy.

The intentions you set on or around the New Moon will determine how you make progress financially and how you can use your money to its maximum effect. You will feel pulled at times when you notice different needs or emotions around money matters, especially on the 20th, 24th and 30th. Look after yourself first and others second.

Finally, the Sun enters Libra on the 22nd, the day of the Equinox, representing a shift in the seasons. For you, this is about communication, the sharing of ideas and focusing on your life close to home.

the money…after several years of sorting out budgets…I am being given good advice not to throw caution the wind.

    1. Thank you for your comment, Anne. It will also help when Saturn leaves Sagittarius, Scorpio’s money sector, at the end of 2017. I’m looking forwards to that move too! best, Sally
