Leo October 2018

Leo, October 2018

Leo (23 July – 22 August)

The Sun, your ruler, is in the sign of balance, Libra, until the 23rd. Balance is something that’s needed in life right now and it’s worth making the most of the Sun’s transit through the star sign linked to peace and harmony.

Libra is your communication sector and, with talk planet Mercury here until the 10th, it’s an excellent start to the month to swap ideas, brainstorm, learn more and take part in effective interactions.

If there’s something you want or need, speak up. If you think you can help other people, speak up. This is a top period for sales, customer service and getting other people on your side. Libra is not only a diplomat but also a mediator and negotiator.

Use these skills well early on in October, especially during the New Moon in Libra on the 9th. The New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings and an excellent date to start something new.

This is particularly important if there are any issues at work. You currently have Pluto in Capricorn and your work sector and Pluto clashes with Mercury on the 3rd and your ruler, the Sun, on the 12th. If you’re out of work, use your connections to spread the word that you’re job hunting. If there’s too much pressure at work, find ways to free up your time and get other people on board to help you out.

Capricorn is the star sign linked to health in your horoscope and this is not a period in your life when you need too much stress. Instead, keep communicating with other people to find ways and means to make your life easier on a daily level.

There’s strong emphasis this month on your home and family life too, because of what’s happening in the star sign Scorpio. Scorpio is about your roots, creating strong foundations and spending more time at home or with your family.

Your ruler, the Sun, enters Scorpio on the 23rd but it’s a busy star sign all October. Communication planet Mercury is here from the 10th to the 31st and the planet of love and relating, Venus, is here all month.

Also, big planet Jupiter has been in Scorpio for the last year. You may have moved more than once, been involved in DIY or renovation or looked at ways to use your home more cost-efficiently or environmental-friendly.

Scorpio activity peaks this month whether you’re bringing a domestic project or a property deal to completion or you’re delving into your past. This is important because Venus turns retrograde in Scorpio on the 5th and remains on go slow until November 15th.

This feels like digging around in family secrets or uncovering intrigue from your past. You may be keen to catch up with elder members of your family, draw up your family tree or bring the clans together. It may be that secrets tumble out this month too and you find out a lot about your past that you never knew existed.

There’s a strong possibility that someone from your past will be in touch, who you loved or shared a special connection with. This could be an emotional experience for you, reconnecting you with feelings that you had either buried or forgotten about.

Relationships are key in your life now as Mars is in Aquarius and your relationship sector throughout October. Mars is completing its journey through your opposite sign which it began mid-May 2018. As Mars was retrograde during July and August, you may already have experienced some stops and starts around love and relationships.

Mars is now powering forwards, whereas Venus is retreating and the lovers of the heavens clash on the 11th. The past could encroach on your life in some way. This requires you to rethink or renegotiate what’s happening with someone in your life in the here and now. It’s an intriguing combination.

Also, the last week of the month is lively starting with the Full Moon on the 24th. This Full Moon cuts across the Scorpio/Taurus axis of the zodiac and highlights your foundations. In your horoscope Scorpio looks to the past, whereas Taurus has its gaze firmly fixed on the future.

This Full Moon pulls in Venus in Scorpio and unpredictable Uranus in Taurus and your career and vocation sector. This could symbolise a split or recognising where you and someone close don’t see eye-to-eye or, at the very least, meet in the middle.

There are other possibilities. Perhaps you have to deal with big events in the life of someone close, which involves a change of job or home.

You can’t count out a new job or project coming in and having to agree to it immediately. This could necessitate a change of location or you have to learn new technology or other information at a super fast rate.

Family could be there to help on the 26th and 29th when firstly, the Sun and Venus unite and secondly, Mercury and Jupiter unite, all four planets in Scorpio. Exciting times lie ahead. It’s potentially a month of deep emotions that link your future with your past.
