Leo (23 July – 22 August)
There’s more than one reason to be happy in November as fire sign energy begins to dominate with key planets changing star sign. Being a Leo, you are one of the three fire signs and, when planets are in your element, there’s a natural flow in your astrology.
Plus, action planet Mars finally leaves your opposite sign of Aquarius this month, on the 15th. Mars has been in Aquarius for most of the time since mid-May earlier this year. July and August could have been particularly stressful or challenging months, whether you felt powerless or had to rely heavily on other people.
In some way or other, you’ve been tied to another person for the last six months or been up against opposition. You’ve either had to follow orders or had to rework your own ideas and ways of doing things. It’s called compromise and it’s something that doesn’t always come easily to you. As a Leo ruled by the Sun, you like to be the centre of attention and want to shine bright.
If you’ve felt squeezed, unappreciated or frustrated that you’ve not been in charge, here’s your opportunity to shift the dynamic in a key relationship or partnership. For some Leo individuals, it might mean letting go, saying goodbye or moving on. For others, it means speaking up and ensuring that your own needs are met.
Mars moves into Pisces on the 15th. Trust your instincts as Pisces is one of the water signs. Get out of your head, stop over-analysing and get into your body and natural flow. Pisces rules sex in your horoscope and one way of recharging a relationship is to get physical and reconnect through love-making. Less talk, more action!
The big news this month, however, is the planet Jupiter on the move. Jupiter is the planet of joy, luck and good fortune and it’s where you find happiness. Jupiter remains in each sign of the zodiac for approximately one year. Since October 2017, Jupiter has been in Scorpio, ruling your home and family.
You may have moved home or changed your living conditions over the last twelve months. Family may have been your number one focus and your protective instincts have been high. Trying to find a healthy balance between work and home life and dealing with extra challenges won’t always have been easy, either for you or your loved ones. Scorpio is an intense water sign, which can throw up deep emotions.
This month’s stars urge you to let go of what’s old and outdated and focus on what’s new and innovative. Being self-employed, running your own business or trying to make ends meet is a challenge when you also have to pay the bills but reinvention is the name of the game.
You do have to let go before you can move forwards but Mars’ move into Pisces, the sign that rules joint finances in your horoscope means you’re wise to deal with money matters. This could be a debt situation, savings, insurance, a mortgage, an investment or inheritance. Be in control of money matters and do what you can to transform your financial situation for the better.
On the 8th, Jupiter enters your fellow fire sign, Sagittarius, where it remains until December 2019. This is brilliant news for you and a breath of fresh air. The focus turns to you and what you want out of life rather than relying on others or having to think of other people before yourself.
Sagittarius rules creativity, love affairs, entertainment, fun and children in your horoscope. It’s the playful sector and it’s about doing what you love.
Therefore, if you’ve felt trapped or been slowed down, turn your life around and embrace your passion and desire. Plan some fun events with friends and family and make entertainment, laughter and socialising high priority. Focus on the positives in your life and veer away from negative energy.
If you’re looking for love or you simply want to have a good time, the following dates leap out; the 8th when there’s a Moon/Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius, the 9th when Venus and Mars, the lovers of the heavens cosy up to each other and the 26th when your ruler the Sun sits side by side with lucky Jupiter.
Jupiter is the planet of luck so trust your luck and have a flutter, enter a competition or buy a raffle ticket when you’re out and about. There is a popular saying in the UK, ‘you have to be in to win’ and this can apply to life as well as the lottery, e.g. if you want to meet someone new, join a dating agency or let your friends know you’re keen for an introduction. This will serve you better than sitting at home alone waiting for the phone to ring.
Same goes if you’ve always wanted to write a book, paint a portrait or play a musical instrument. While Jupiter’s in Sagittarius, revisit your childhood dreams and take the first step towards turning a dream into reality.
Jupiter’s move into Sagittarius isn’t going to sort out all the nitty-gritty boring stuff of life but it is going to move play and pleasure high up your life barometer and that’s got to be a good thing.
Do note, however, that communication planet Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius on the 17th and remains on go slow until December 6th. So don’t expect everything to fall in your lap straightaway. Be patient and trust that good things come to those who wait.
Loving conversations ease your path this month as Venus, the planet of relating, turns direct in Libra on the 16th. Libra is your communication sector and linked to travel. Plus, live-wire Uranus moves back into a fire sign, Aries, on the 6th where it remains for the next four months.
You have more than one message coming your way that now’s the time to embrace life to the full and do more of what you love.
That sounds spot on Sally
