The most exciting Aries activity takes place early in the month and the 7th is notable when there’s a New Moon in Aries. This begins a new chapter and is a brilliant time to take the initiative, sign up for a trip or course and set your intentions for the month and year ahead.
Plus the unpredictable planet Uranus is connected to the New Moon energy and the weekend of the 9th/10th is perfect to be impulsive, take a risk and do things differently. If you receive a last-minute attention on or around the 9th, the answer’s Yes.
Another planet in Aries is Venus, the planet of love and relating, and she’s in this same sector of your chart from the 5th-30th. This adds a foreign or exotic theme to love and relationships, perfect for a holiday romance, a first or second honeymoon or catching up with a lover who you met on holiday or on a course.
The best dates for finding and enjoying love are the 12th, 18th and 22nd. Make the most of your close relationships and do something different with your partner. It’s a seize the day energy when you have vital planets in this sector of your chart.
There’s another reason why love, play and all the good things in life should be high priority now and this is due to the planet of passion, Mars, which is in another fire sign Sagittarius. Sagittarius rules all the things you ‘give birth to’, e.g. children, a love affair, a creative project, a celebration or big event. This is the perfect time to embrace life to the full and do more of what you love.
Having said that, Mars turns retrograde this month on Thursday 17th and in fact, Mars hardly moves at all from the same degree in the zodiac. Something’s slowing down, coming to a halt and you might have to accept that in one of the key areas mentioned above, you need to turn things around and look at your life from a different perspective.
This might mean a new romance takes a step back mid-month, perhaps due to other priorities on your part or the fact that the other person doesn’t want to rush into things. Mars rules the libido so this could be about sex and frustrated energy.
It’s not a brilliant omen if you’re trying to get pregnant although it is important to know that once a planet’s retrograde, the most important work takes place on the inside. This is where you can learn the most so find time to sit with any issue or dilemma in your own life and be honest with yourself if your motivations or desire have changed.
If you’re a parent, be especially attentive and patient around your children and help them learn to channel their anger in a constructive way. Work, your career or vocation in life are also highlighted in April and in fact, this month you’re wise to set down new foundations with regard to these areas. Put plans in place that are productive and think long-term.
This is because communication planet Mercury enters Taurus and your career sector on the 5th but on the 28th Mercury turns retrograde. So the more you get done before the end of April, the better.
The period from the 14th-17th is especially rich and fertile when it comes to work, projects and money matters. You can build for the future so think carefully what you want to establish or help grow.
