Leo (23 July – 22 August)
At the start of March, your ruler, the Sun, makes its annual conjunction with Neptune in watery Pisces. This is an emotional and potentially sentimental combination and, as March begins with a Full Moon on the 2nd, this is a time when emotions are heightened.
You may be dealing with what’s hidden, your inner self rather than the world outside. In fact, this is a positive period to engage in healing or reflect on your past. Big planet Jupiter is in action early in the month in another water sign, Scorpio, ruling the part of your horoscope which represents your home and family and where you come from.
If you’re taking a trip down memory lane for a specific reason, engage with your emotions and, for some Leo individuals, this could be a time of release. Enjoy your close relationships with the ones you love or a spiritual or divine connection.
The start of March is about moving away from ego, whether you’re prioritising other people or you want to find a deeper purpose or meaning in your life. In fact, this theme runs throughout a lot of the month for you. You’re on a seeking quest or keen to travel, improve your knowledge and look for more in life beyond the everyday.
Sometimes, however, you have to return to the past before you can step into the future. Apply this to your own life and see how it makes sense to you.
Money too is a significant feature throughout much of March as Pisces is the star sign which represents joint finances and shared resources in your horoscope. Your ruler, the Sun, is here until the 20th and it’s wise to actively engage with money matters.
Admittedly, money can be an emotional issue for you now, whether this concerns an inheritance or you’re having to split finances with someone close in order to move on. The Full Moon on the 2nd highlights the financial axis of your zodiac and the New Moon on the 17th falls in Pisces and your joint finance sector.
Use these dates to make the right moves financially, not only to sort out your own money situation but look at how you can help others financially or team up with people close to you. The Sun/Neptune connection on the 4th can be slippery when it comes to money so beware of scams or deceit.
After this date, however, you’re on more solid ground and the period around the 11th to the 13th could be particularly productive or fruitful for you. This is especially true if you’re investing in property, starting a family business or securing a new job or money-making venture.
This month, there’s strong emphasis on the other two fire signs, Aries and Sagittarius. Therefore, it could be tempting to throw yourself wholeheartedly into life and ignore the emotional side of things or any difficulties that arise. Admittedly, it’s healthy to balance introspection with positive action but don’t miss out on soul-searching or emotional release entirely.
This is a positive month to line up some new adventures and discuss exciting ideas with friends and colleagues about what next. This can take place relatively early in the month because, on the 6th,w both talk planet Mercury and relating planet Venus move into your fellow fire sign Aries.
Aries turns your attention towards travel and study and the bigger picture in life. This is a time to talk about courageous goals, find inspiration and look and plan ahead. Plus, action planet Mars remains in fire sign Sagittarius until the 17th and on the 11th, Mars teams up with innovative Uranus in Aries.
This is gorgeous for having fun and doing more of what you love in life. Sagittarius rules your creativity, children & pregnancy, romance & love affairs, luck and entertainment. Be spontaneous when luck’s on your side (11th-13th) and say Yes to adventure.
Also, the 20th is a significant date because this is the Equinox, the day when your ruler the Sun moves into Aries, the first sign in the zodiac. This is the start of the new zodiac cycle and, in the northern hemisphere, it coincides with the onset of spring. Now’s the time to sow seeds, to make a fresh start.
When you let go of difficult emotions and put the past behind you, your energy returns and you can start to make some bold steps in a new direction.
Having said that, the timing is essential because three days after the Sun enters Aries, communication planet Mercury turns retrograde in this same sector of your horoscope. Mercury is retrograde in Aries from March 23rd until April 15th.
This is traditionally a time of delays, when you’re wise to reflect upon and review your situation rather than dash ahead. Bear this in mind, especially if you want to book a holiday or apply for a study course. That’s not to say do nothing while Mercury’s on go slow but be flexible.
The 29th to the 31st looks gorgeous for doing something spontaneous, perhaps with the one you love. The second Full Moon in March, a Blue Moon, takes place on the last day of the month and for you it lights up your travel and study sectors. A quick get-away could be fun indeed.
Note, however, that a major turning point comes mid-April, when not only is Mercury back up to speed in Aries but there’s a New Moon in this same sector of your horoscope. Pencil in the 15th and 16th of April for a big adventure or a major development in a study or educational project or course.
Work could be the reason why you have to rethink your plans. The boss, perhaps, who won’t accept your holiday dates or a period of unemployment when you need to reconsider what you can and can’t do.
Sometimes, Mercury retrograde stops you in your tracks because something better is waiting just around the corner. Bear this in mind if things don’t work out the way you were expecting them to.
