Leo December 2018

Leo, winter

Leo (23 July – 22 August)

The Sun is shining bright in your fellow fire sign Sagittarius as December begins. It remains here until the 21st and this is a dominant feature for you in the month ahead.

On the one hand, it’s about partying and having fun and throwing yourself into the festivities. Your star sign, Leo, has a child-like quality and it’s a great month to be with children and let your inner child out to play. Line up some fun entertainment and make the most of enjoyable events taking place.

Sagittarius rules children and pregnancy in your horoscope, one reason why you’re wise to prioritise your children and embrace your inner child. There could be good news too with regard to babies or pregnancy.

The dates to note are the 7th and 21st. The 7th is the day of the New Moon in Sagittarius, a seed moment and symbol of new beginnings. On the 21st, Mercury and Jupiter come together in Sagittarius, which often coincides with good news. These two planets got together on November 27th when Mercury was retrograde.

This month, there’s a theme of second chances or new information coming to light. Perhaps, something that was started at the end of November comes to fruition at the end of December.

Sagittarius rules creative projects in your horoscope, as well as entertainment and luck. This can be a time of good fortune, whether you win the work raffle or you find yourself in the right place at the right time. The 20th is gorgeous for spontaneous moves when the Sun in Sagittarius teams up with Uranus in Aries and your travel sector.

Romance too is on the agenda as Sagittarius rules love affairs in your horoscope. This month would be ideal for meeting someone new and spicing up your love life. Be spontaneous when it comes to love and do something special with your other half. The most significant date is the 20th, as Uranus co-rules your partnership sector, gorgeous for love and romantic shenanigans.

Developments at home or within your family are likely early in the month. In fact, you could sort out or resolve a disagreement or misunderstanding. On the 1st, talk planet Mercury returns to Scorpio and your home and family sector and turns direct here on the 6th.

This is an excellent date to speak up or sort out festive arrangements or similar. Property matters too fall into place after the 6th.

The other planet in Scorpio is the planet of relating, Venus. She returns here on the 2nd and remains in Scorpio throughout December. You may remember that Venus was in Scorpio from September 9th to October 31st and turned retrograde on October 5th.

Venus’ return to Scorpio may bring an opportunity to heal a rift or resolve difficult emotions. Basically, sort anything out that went wrong in these areas of your life while Venus was in retreat.

It’s a good month to decorate your home and enjoy your surroundings. In fact, you may want to be at home more than usual, whether you’re able to work from home or see clients at home or you’re entertaining. Do whatever feels enjoyable and harmonious for you. Venus teams up with slower-moving planets on the 16th, 21st and 28th bringing stability and inspiration.

There’s another key planet in water signs this month, Mars, the planet of action in Pisces. Pisces rules your joint finance and shared resource sector. You may team up with family to make things easier for all of you during the festive season and this is a strong symbol for collective ventures. It is a good time to focus on finances and plan ahead.

Keep close tabs on your money this month, however, because Mars unites with Neptune on the 7th. Plus, your ruler, the Sun, clashes with Mars and Neptune on the 3rd and 5th respectively. If anything, you’re wise to conserve your spending and be careful what you buy or invest in. There’s a slippery quality to Neptune, which is intangible, elusive and hard to get hold of.

Be careful what you say Yes to financially. If possible, focus on finances mid-month and not in the first week. The other questionable date is the 24th when Mercury in Sagittarius clashes with Neptune. Again, this indicates that things are not what they seem. Don’t over-promise financially or make a commitment you’re not ready to keep and don’t believe everything you hear.

On the 21st, your ruler, the Sun moves into Capricorn and your work and health sector. The following day, the 22nd, there’s a Full Moon which cuts across the Cancer/Capricorn axis of the zodiac. This is about looking after yourself and being sensible when it comes to your lifestyle.

If you have been burning the candle at both ends throughout December, you might be more than ready to slow down and retreat. The Full Moon will expose whatever’s needed and bring clarity to your situation.

On the 25th, Christmas Day, the Moon is in your star sign Leo, which could see you playing a starring role in the festivities. This will help to ensure your needs are met. If anyone needs to step in and organise everything, it’s you. Take charge when necessary.

Fast-forwards to the 31st, New Year’s Eve, and the Moon is in Scorpio. If you want to see in the New Year at home or with your close family, you’re in tune with your stars.

Wishing you a happy and peaceful festive season, whatever your faith and however you choose to celebrate.
