Trust Your Luck
Your ruling planet Mercury is moving swiftly this month. Up until the 5th, Mercury is in your fellow air sign Libra representing play rather than work. Plus, on the 1st Mercury aligns with lucky Jupiter for the third time in less than two months – the previous dates were September 20th and October 4th.
This combination can mean you hear good news. Or, you have a lucky break. This is about the things and people in life you love – children, sweethearts, entertainment, creative ventures, also travel & study.
Scorpio Time
It’s not a month, however, when play dominates. This is because there’s a lot of planetary energy in Scorpio, the star sign that rules your work and routine, your lifestyle and your health. Here’s the planetary pattern:
Planets in Scorpio:
- Mars (action/drive) – all month
- Sun (illumination) – until the 22nd
- Mercury (communication) – 5th to 24th
This indicates a go-for-it month whether you’re after a new job or seeking work that inspires you. There’s energy and enthusiasm here and you may be making some bold decisions regarding your work or lifestyle.
You might commit to a new healthy workout or fitness plan and take good care of your body. The mind-body-spirit connection is closely intertwined and it’s important to focus on all these areas, rather than prioritise one over the other.
You may choose to invest in your health and well-being to lower your stress levels. The more you stay on track with your work and routine and the more you consider what serves you well in life, the more you can benefit from this month’s full-on astrology.
You’ll notice the line-up of planets in Scorpio on the 10th. This is the day of a Mercury-Mars conjunction. Usually, this combination is fierce and lively. You can walk (Mars) your talk (Mercury) and do (Mars) what you say (Mercury).
Yet, you could run into some hesitation or experience fear or doubt. This is because both planets are squared by Saturn in Aquarius. Someone could challenge your beliefs or put their foot down around your work commitments or health issues.
Fast forward to the 13th & 17th and Uranus kicks in opposing Mercury and Mars. These dates are not great for taking risks or acting impulsively. Notice where in your life you want to break the rules and be contrary.
This same planetary energy takes place during the New Moon in Scorpio on the 4th. Traditionally, a New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings but you could start something from a place of dissatisfaction or rebelliousness. This is because both the Sun & Moon are opposed by Uranus on the same day.
It may be that limitations or restrictions over the past year have proved too much and you’re no longer willing to toe the line. You could be making an independent move that goes against common consensus or general agreement. Consider what this might mean for you.
Eclipse Season
Also this month, a new set of eclipses begins cutting across the Taurus/Scorpio axis of the zodiac. The first one is a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on the 19th. Although, you may already be picking up on this powerful planetary energy during the New Moon on the 4th. It too has a feel of the unexpected with Uranus involved.
Eclipses are powerful and your dreams could be off the radar on or around the Lunar Eclipse. Try not to let your emotions lead you astray and know what anchors you and keeps you grounded.
This axis is about work and health, your lifestyle and routine, also service to others, whether this is your religion or a volunteer role. It’s here where you’re wise to be curious and notice where life’s calling you.
Sometimes, eclipse events arrive with a bang as the unexpected kicks in. Other times, you notice sign-posts or synchronicities leading you down a new path. Take care of your well-being and prioritise habits that support you. This eclipse cycle will continue until October 2023.
Love & Relationships
On the 22nd, there’s a shift in energy as the Sun leaves behind Scorpio and enters Sagittarius, one of the fire signs. This is your opposite star sign so the focus turns towards love and relationships, your business partnerships too. It’s about your one-to-ones, the people you interact with, work with and live with.
Two days later and your planet Mercury joins the Sun in Sagittarius on the 24th. Therefore, you’re wise to turn your attention to other people in your life. Ask someone to take the lead or help you out if you’re struggling. Make time for your partnerships, especially on the 29th & 30th, the last two days of the month.
Eclipse Do’s & Don’ts
Eclipse season is here and a new Taurus/Scorpio eclipse cycle is underway. Here are some eclipse tips:
- Try not to fear an eclipse – they are a reminder that we’re not always in control.
- Don’t choose an eclipse date to launch a project or start something new.
- Wait a few days after an eclipse before taking action. Eclipse symbolism is shadowy and hidden.
- Once the eclipse shadow lifts, then you can try to take advantage of any changes that have occurred.
- Know that the eclipses are closely linked to the karmic nodes & wheel of destiny – they offer a turning point.
