Gemini November 2016

Gemini

Gemini (21 May – 20 June)

Life continues as normal in some respects as November begins. Your ruling planet Mercury is in Scorpio, one of your work sectors until the 12th where it’s joined by the Sun in Scorpio until the 21st.

Scorpio rules not only your work but your daily routine, your health and your lifestyle. This is a time when you’ll benefit from a regular routine and daily habits that support your well-being. Scorpio is a focused sign so this might help you be less easily distracted and concentrate on what you want to get done. The Full Moon on the 14th cuts across the Taurus/Scorpios axis of the zodiac, a time when it’s wise to opt for a settled life and look after yourself.

In addition, action planet Mars begins the month in Capricorn and your joint finance sector. So money and work are key as the month begins and you’re sensible to do whatever’s necessary to get ahead and aim for security in your life. Hard work is likely to pay off and an organised approach to life helps you firm up your foundations.

Yet behind the scenes it’s a different story because there’s another influence which is completely the opposite. This involves the planet Neptune which changes direction this month on the 20th and its energy is especially strong as it stations in the zodiac.

Neptune is currently in Pisces and the sector of your chart which rules your career and vocation, your future and where you’re heading. Neptune can be a soul-searching influence when you’re unsure what you want or what fulfils you, although you sense that things need to shift and change in order for you to find your way.

Neptune is God of the sea so events mid-month especially from the 18th to the 20th could bring about a sea-change in your own life, a desire to do things differently, to chase a new dream. If you’re bored in your job or unhappy with your current situation, you’ll feel Neptune’s pull strongly as it washes away your sense of security or your strong foundations.

At its best you can use Neptune’s influence to inspire you as this planet rules art and poetry, music and creativity. It’s the planet linked to images, so use visualisation techniques to help you find what you want, to know what would inspire you. Tap into your creative or spiritual source this month to find inspiration.

Neptune also rules compassion so there’s a charitable, giving side to Neptune. For some, this is the month when you’re seeking out a higher purpose, you want to find your mission, to make a difference in the world.

Other people play a key part in your progress this month too because there’s strong emphasis on your opposite sign of Sagittarius. Love planet Venus is in Sagittarius until the 12th and the 5th is electric for new love when Venus and Uranus come together.

Your ruling planet Mercury enters Sagittarius on the 12th, the day that Venus leaves your relationship sector and the Sun too is here from the 21st onwards. So there’s a theme of co-operation in your month ahead, working alongside other people to further your own goals and support one another. The 29th is key in this respect when there’s a New Moon in Sagittarius, a positive symbol for new beginnings.

It’s a good month to sign and seal a contract, create joint ventures in your life, find a business partner. If you’re in a relationship or married, there’s an ease about love that might have been missing in your life of late.

Admittedly, the taskmaster of the heavens, Saturn remains in this same part of your chart so love is rarely a breeze when responsible Saturn takes up residence. Your ruler Mercury teams up with Saturn on the 23rd so this could be a tough date for love but a sound date to finalise a business partnership.

The other influence with regard to relationships involves the planet Jupiter, the biggest planet in the universe. Jupiter represents opportunity and growth, it’s your partner planet and is currently in Libra, the sign that rules romance and all the good things in life.

This is a fun placing for Jupiter and even if your love life has been quiet or challenging over the last couple of years, Jupiter brings something extra to the party. You want to keep love light or be free from restriction. You want to have fun but you don’t want to deal with anything difficult or confrontative.

This is fine on the whole except in the last week of November when Jupiter in Libra clashes with Pluto in Capricorn and love planet Venus is pulled into the mix. The key date is the 24th, the day of the major aspect but the following few days are also pivotal.

This is when you might have to deal with emotional baggage, either your own or someone else’s. Be wary of venturing into a new relationship or alliance with someone who’s not good with money or is tied to the past.

You might also have to make some tough decisions about what you can and can’t afford. The Jupiter-Pluto clash indicates that you can have one thing but not the other and it’s easy to slip into greed or desire with this combination, success at any cost.

If anything, wait until the New Moon on the 29th when you can see your way ahead more clearly. The days leading up to the New Moon could be especially murky.
