Gemini Monthly Horoscope September 2015

clock ball, GeminiGemini (21 May – 20 June)

September is a big month in the heavens and the most important planetary activity for you is the fact that your ruling planet Mercury turns retrograde on the 17th. Mercury is the planet of communication and all month Mercury is in your fellow air sign of Libra.

This puts the focus on all the good things in life, such as love affairs, children & pregnancy, creative projects and entertainment. The best way to use this transit of Mercury is to do more of what you love and focus on seeking out play and creating more fun in your life.

Yet once Mercury turns retrograde, you’re stopped in your tracks and progress isn’t easy until October 9th when Mercury turns direct again. For the three week period when Mercury’s on go slow, you’re best to bide your time, accept that there may be misunderstandings in your life and try not to force the issue.

Mercury only makes two key planetary aspects this month and both times this is a square aspect to Pluto in Capricorn and one of your money sectors on the 9th and 24th. This might seem as if life is working against you and that things aren’t going according to plan.

If you can’t afford some form of entertainment or cash is tight, you need to stay flexible and use your clever brain to seek out new options. Yet sometimes when Pluto’s in action, it’s wise to admit that saying No is the best solution. If you really can’t afford something right now, try again in a month’s time.

When Mercury’s retrograde, it’s also a good time to review your situation with regard to the areas of life mentioned above. What do you really want when it comes to romance, children, creativity, fun? Think of this as a chance to reassess your situation and learn from your mistakes.

Mercury retrograde can make communication tricky but as the month begins, talk, gossip and debate are in full flow. There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, the lovers of the heavens, Venus and Mars, come together on the 1st in Leo and your communication sector. Meet someone new on or around this date and it’s a classic sign for falling in love or finding someone who can help or inspire you.

Then five days later, Venus turns direct in Leo on the 6th after six weeks on go slow. Look out for turning points in a key relationship and again notice who pops up in your life. Leo is the sign that rules new faces and new places so being sociable and widening your social circle is highly recommended. You might be catching up with siblings or neighbours or decide to become more involved in your local community. Reaching out to others and making new connections is a positive influence for you in the month of September.

Your 1-to-1 relationships come under Saturn’s scrutiny from the 18th once Saturn returns to Sagittarius and your relationship sector. Saturn was in this part of your chart from late December 2014 to mid-June 2015.

Saturn’s the planet of commitment and responsibility but it’s also the planet of isolation and solitude. For some, this might be a time when you decide you’re happy on your own and that being alone doesn’t mean being lonely. For others, love is a serious matter and you have to think long and hard about where you’re heading as a couple.

You can’t avoid the big relationship decisions when Saturn’s in this sector of your chart although as Mercury turns retrograde the day before Saturn’s ingress into Sagittarius, you won’t be keen to rush into anything. Bide your time if someone issues you an ultimatum and wait until mid-October before you decide what you want to do. Sagittarius rules personal and professional partnerships in your life.

This is also a month when you’re grappling with the bigger issues, such as home and family and where you’re heading in life. You might find that your work situation is changing now and if anything you want less stress and an easier lifestyle. This is because Saturn leaves Scorpio and your work sector on the 18th where it’s been since mid-June. Whether you’ve been out of work or in work overwhelm, your situation is shifting.

Plus the day before on the 17th, there’s a major planetary aspect between Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces. This aspect cuts across the foundations of your chart. Virgo rules your home and family, your past and where you come from and Pisces rules your career, your future and where you’re heading in life. This combination indicates a sea-change and if you’re currently disillusioned with your path in life, you know that things have got to give.

If anything, you’re going to be happier with a freer, easier lifestyle so opt for flexibility especially if there are big changes going on at home. The solar eclipse on the 13th takes place in Virgo and this is when you might find that hidden issues come to light. Often solar eclipses point you in a new direction whether this involves a change of residence, an addition to the family or someone leaving or moving out.

You do have to grapple with the bigger issues in life now and this isn’t the easiest month of the year. Yet know that this is an important transitional phase and once you come through the other side, you’ll see your situation more clearly.

There’s a second eclipse on the 28th, a lunar eclipse which cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of your chart and this highlights key changes within your friends or social life. Eclipses often spell endings which create new beginnings. Sometimes there’s a 3rd party who intervenes or a triangle situation that plays out. It’s not an easy time for friendship and you have to think carefully about what you want to do with regard to a friend or group in which you’re involved.

Again the time isn’t right to make any major decisions and it’s only when Mercury picks up speed next month that you know what you want and what to say in order to make the biggest impact. For now, be patient and go with the flow. Your situation is changing and you need to be sure of yourself before you take your next steps.
