Gemini (21 May – 20 June)
As March begins, your ruler Mercury and the Sun are in Pisces, the sign at the top of your chart. Pisces rules your career and vocation, your future and where you’re heading in life. The solar eclipse on February 26th lit up this sector of your chart, so you may currently have a lot to think about or talk about. Mercury remains in Pisces until the 13th and the Sun until the 20th.
There’s a sense of letting something go, knowing where your limitations lie and looking where in life you’ve reached an impasse. This might relate directly to your work, your career or a position of leadership.
For some, this is about being disillusioned with where you’re at, whether this is due to someone you work with, your boss, for example, or the fact that you’re ready to move on. Things have changed over the last couple of years and it’s time to look closely at what works and what doesn’t work for you.
The key dates in this respect are the 2nd and 4th when Neptune in Pisces connects with your personal planets and the 12th and 17th when Saturn squares your personal planets. Notice your feelings this month and listen to your intuition. Pisces is a water sign, linked to the non-verbal realm so this isn’t about doing what you think is right but instead what you feel is right.
The Full Moon on the 12th can be an important catalyst with regard to your work/life balance as it cuts across the Virgo/Pisces axis of your chart. So this is a key date to decide what next. Full Moons often represent completion or culmination, a time when you see your situation clearly.
The other important date to note is the 7th when the Sun and Mercury come together in Pisces. The Sun illuminates any confusion or unclarity you may have around work and it’s another key date to trust your intuition.
For some, this could be a time when you feel inspired and you’re ready to pursue your dream vocation. You might have a big purpose or mission in life, something you really want to do or achieve. Once you tap into the boundless qualities of Neptune and seek inspiration, magic happens.
This is especially true if you work in an artistic or creative field or your vocation is a compassionate one. In this case, the 7th could be a date when something special, even extraordinary happens.
The other big life area to note in March is your friendship and group encounters. This is because there’s a tremendous amount of planetary activity taking place in the sign of Aries throughout the month so this isn’t a time to go it alone.
In fact, you can gain a huge amount of excitement, an adrenalin rush from the people you hang out with. Hone in on those friends and group activities that fill you with passion and awaken your adventurous soul.
This isn’t to say that you’ll get on with everyone in the month ahead and it is important to choose your friends with care. There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, the planet of relating, Venus, turns retrograde in Aries on the 4th and will remain on go slow until mid-April.
So this would be a tricky time to mix friendship and love, for example, and it’s not wholly advised. You might find too that issues arise around friendship as there’s a sense of imbalance. The day before Venus changes direction, there’s a major opposition between Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries.
This unpredictable pairing highlights freedom and change, so you may find that a friend’s behaviour rattles you. They could run off with someone or something that’s rightfully yours or perhaps you’re envious of their lifestyle and what’s driving them.
If you don’t see eye-to-eye with someone early in the month, it will take a while for any difficulties to settle. Yet you too could be up your tricks and wondering how you can benefit from a friend or group in your life. When Venus is retrograde, there’s a secretive theme and it often suggests that something hidden is taking place. Be careful what you get involved in now and notice your own motivations.
Having said that, this could be a month when your social life takes off big-time and you’re keen to get involved with new ideas and new people. Aries is a passionate and impulsive sign so whether it’s you or someone close who’s ready to dive into life and take a leap of faith, anything goes.
The weekend of the 24th to 26th is especially exciting in this respect so do something unusual, say Yes to a last-minute invitation, focus on what you love and enjoy. You might decide the time is right to adopt a child or pet, to start a new hobby or project, to say Yes to life in your unique way. Notice who comes into your life on or around the New Moon on the 27th too, which lights up your friendship and group sector.
There is a slight question mark around money however and not going overboard to invest or spend more than you can afford. This is because the second major Jupiter aspect takes place on the 30th when Jupiter in Libra is squared by Pluto in Capricorn and your joint finance sector.
This could flag up an issue around money or values so find ways to enjoy yourself that don’t blow the bank but at the same time, try not to let money hold you back from bringing more enjoyment into your life.
Finally, when it comes to love, it’s important to focus on the bigger picture if you’re in a relationship or married. Events this month may reveal where your differences lie but with Venus retrograde, it’s wise to ride the waves of change rather than issue any ultimatums.
Being more independent as a couple will either show how much trust there is between you or help you see that here too you’re ready for a sea change, to do things differently.
