Gemini (21 May – 21 June)
Eclipse Season
January is eclipse month and this is potentially an important eclipse for you because your ruling planet, Mercury, is in Capricorn until the 16th and is pulled in to the Lunar or Full Moon Eclipse on the 10th.
This Lunar eclipse is part of the current eclipse cycle cutting across the Cancer/Capricorn axis of the zodiac. This began in July 2018 and completes in July 2020. For you, it falls across the financial axis of your horoscope.
Therefore, it’s about all things to do with money, possessions and assets. Potentially, it’s about debt, money owed and a shift in earnings. Eclipses represent highs and lows and your situation rarely remains the same during an eclipse cycle.
Saturn-Pluto Conjunction
It’s not just about money, however, although this is a key feature of the eclipse and the Saturn-Pluto conjunction on the 12th. It’s also about where your values lie, your self-worth, your hidden feelings or emotions. In astrology, money and emotions are closely linked. They are not separate at all. Notice the emotional pull around money and what you give and receive and the reasons why.
Is money an issue within a close relationship or is there a theme of emotional blackmail in your life? Do you want to help someone out financially or do you need to ask for help, perhaps from a family member?
The theme of money and past connections runs deep. You may be aware of your own legacy, either that which is passed to you or what you pass on to future generations. Try not to act impulsively where money’s concerned on or around the eclipse. If possible, delay any major transactions, be patient and bide your time.
If something isn’t working out for you financially, then the Saturn-Pluto theme could represent letting go, cutting your losses and moving on. Ensure that you’re in the loop when it comes to important financial decisions and that you have your say. This is key with your planet Mercury involved in this month’s major astrology.
Also, use the Mercury-Jupiter conjunction in Capricorn on the 2nd to write down your financial goals for 2020. Or speak them out loud. Either way, this is a lucky influence.
Spread Your Wings
Once Mercury moves in to air sign Aquarius on the 16th, this is a stronger placing for your ruling planet as it lines up nicely with your star sign, Gemini. Your ideas and your ability to express your self are in flow. You’re in your element when planets are in Aquarius.
Aquarius rules the bigger picture of life in your horoscope, whether this means travel, study, philosophy, religion or spirituality. Essentially, it’s wherever you find meaning or purpose in your life and it’s an ideal month to broaden your horizons any way you see fit.
Mercury isn’t the only planet in Aquarius this month. Venus, the planet of love and relating is here until the 13th and the Sun ruling your identity enters Aquarius on the 20th. The Aquarius theme peaks on the 24th when there’s a New Moon in Aquarius.
This might be a time when you’re talking about exciting plans with friends or your partner. The New Moon is an excellent time to line up a new adventure, whether for this month or later in the year.
In your horoscope, Aquarius also rules the law, publishing, the media, religion and your beliefs. It’s the wider scope of life, your ability to visualise, to dream and line up big goals.
Big Picture Themes
Venus continues the ‘big picture’ theme as Venus enters Pisces on the 13th, your career and future sector. Look out for new connections and people who can help you achieve your long-term goals.
The other important planet in Pisces is Neptune and this is a long-term transit to take into account. Neptune moved into Pisces in 2011 and remains here until 2025. Therefore, it’s important to know what Neptune represents and work with its positive qualities.
Neptune is the planet of compassion and empathy, ideal for the caring professions or philanthropic causes. It’s related to the romantic side of life, including music, poetry, art or any aspect of life that inspires you and takes you beyond the everyday, ideal for an artistic or creative career.
However, Neptune is a boundless planet. So, at times you may end up with too many options in front of you and find it hard to focus. Yet, at its best, Neptune lends you vision and inspiration. This is the planet linked to images and the imagination.
Neptune is prominent on the 8th and 27th in your horoscope, dates when you’re wise to tap in to Neptune’s strengths. It’s important to note, however, that Neptune can lend itself to daydreaming or confusion. Instead of being in flow, you go round in circles and ultimately lose your way.
Be aware of this and take care you don’t allow yourself to be seduced or fooled by a third party. This is particularly important close to the 28th when Mars in Sagittarius and your relationship sector clashes with Neptune. Keep your wits about you and engage your logical brain to know who to trust and who to avoid.
A Passionate Romance
Mars in Sagittarius promises a passionate month for love and relationships, although perhaps more arguments or fall-outs too. There’s strong, dynamic energy here and it’s a great month for pursuing 1-to-1’s, both personal and professional.
Mars moves into Sagittarius on the 3rd. From this date onwards, team up with adventurous individuals and allow yourself to get swept along in their excitement. If you’ve been single for a while but would like to be in a relationship, this is an excellent month to breathe life and energy into your intimate connections.
