Creative & Romantic Goals
Your ruling planet Mercury is in Libra all month. This is one of the play sectors of your horoscope linked to children & creativity, romance & entertainment. Libra’s a social air sign like your star sign Gemini.
You tend to be at your best when you have a healthy work/life balance and the social side of life could kick in big-time this month. Here’s the line up of planetary bodies in Libra:
- Mercury (communication) – all month, retrograde until the 18th
- Mars (action) – until the 30th
- Sun (essence/ego) – until the 23rd
Mercury is retrograde this month until the 18th and this is important for you. If you’re on the verge of making a big decision about a love affair, children & pregnancy or a social event, it may be wise to wait and see what else comes to light.
The New Moon could be important in this respect and takes place on the 6th. New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings. With Mars in pole position, events could turn quickly on or around this date. The 8th/9th are packed full of drive, power and energy.
The Full Moon is another significant date on the 20th and ideal for a big celebration. If you’re waiting for someone else to make up their mind, the Full Moon is a likely date when plans come to completion or ideas come to fruition. When your planet Mercury turns direct on the 18th, you hear information or news that can help you get ahead.
This Mercury retrograde phase feels creative for you. If you can, take a step back and dive deep into a hobby and explore your skills or talents.
Mercury retrograde isn’t traditionally thought of as the best time to travel, yet it’s a wonderful time to go on retreat. As long as you give yourself plenty of time to get to your mode of travel and double-check visas, paperwork, etc. you should be fine.
Plus, big planet Jupiter turns direct in Aquarius and your travel and study sector on the same day as Mercury turns direct, October 18th. This is a definite green light for getting away.

Work Goals
Work is a key feature of the month ahead because of what’s happening in the star sign Scorpio. Here’s the line up of planetary action:
- Venus (love & relating) – until the 7th
- The Sun (essence, ego) – from the 23rd
- Mars (action/drive) – from the 30th
When it comes to your work, your lifestyle and your health, crack on with new plans and put new habits in place during Scorpio season, i.e. after the 23rd. Work and money are linked in your horoscope. You could recognise that a period of hard work will help you out of a tight financial spot. If you know that getting your head down for a couple of months ticks a lot of boxes, go for it.
At its best, Scorpio season helps you to focus, concentrate and get on with the job at hand. You might be busy but raking it in financially – one good reason to prioritise work and boost your reputation or status in the process.
If you’re a Gemini with a plan, late October’s a great time to set your plan in action, especially if the results prove successful for your health, fitness, work or routine.
Money Decisions
You do still need to keep a close eye on money matters this month. This is because the slowest-moving planet Pluto is stationary in Capricorn and your joint finance sector.
This could feel intense if you’re dealing with a money issue. Pluto turns direct on the 6th and rarely moves at all throughout October. Ideally, try to remove yourself from any situation where other people have control of your money.
Also, be realistic when it comes to your outgoings or expenses. If you recognise a drain on your finances, perhaps because of a loan or wanting to help out someone close, be vigilant.
Decide whether saying no is actually the best medicine. This isn’t a good month to ignore a debt situation or keep paying out a regular amount of money that’s not bringing you a good investment.

- double-check everything, read the small print
- chase up old contacts, revisit the past
