Gemini (21 May – 21 June)
There are some green lights on the road ahead this month, although you’re not 100% firing on all cylinders. The best news for you, however, is the fact that at the end of March your ruling planet Mercury turned direct in Pisces and your future sector, after three weeks retrograde or on go slow.
Mercury retrograde can be a frustrating time when plans go wrong or life seems more chaotic than usual. When Mercury gets back up to speed, you hear news you were waiting for or you finally find a solution to a problem. If you’ve been especially muddled about making a decision, Mercury’s switch in direction promises clarity.
This time around, however, things aren’t so clear-cut. This is because Mercury turned direct next to Neptune, Pisces’ co-ruler. Firstly, your ruler, Mercury isn’t ‘at home’ or ‘at ease’ in Pisces. Sometimes, there are too many options, ideas or you feel overwhelmed emotionally. The result can be information overload.
Secondly, Neptune can blur the edges and cloud the vision. Things aren’t what they seem when Neptune dominates and Mercury and Neptune sit side-by-side in Pisces on the 2nd.
Dream-Work
Therefore, take your time, especially when it comes to your career and vocation. This whole combination is great for creative ideas, dream-work or being involved in a compassionate, charitable or spiritual field.
You are still feeling your way forwards, however, and this ‘strange’ vibe continues until the 17th, when Mercury finally leaves the watery realms of Pisces. Until then, find your muse and consider what role other people play in your progress or success.
Other People’s Influence
Big planet, Jupiter, remains in your opposite star sign, Sagittarius, throughout the month. On the 10th, Jupiter switches direction and turns retrograde. This might be a time when you see how crucial someone else’s involvement is in a project or your career path. Also, you might recognise who’s working against you and is not on your side.
The period from the 10th to the 15th is pivotal for your close relations. You may see clearly who inspires you and the reverse, i.e. who disappoints you or lets you down. Recognise the significance of other people in April and this will help you make the right moves in your life.
This is confirmed because you have Venus, the planet of relating, in Pisces until the 20th. Look out for women of influence, use your connections and lean on other people for support and advice.
There’s a lot of movement and energy in the month ahead, but not in a straight line. The theme of diversity runs strong throughout April. Use your trickster ways to good effect.
Join A New Group
Some of you will be more involved within group activities this month too as the star sign, Aries, is prominent. Aries rules good friends, also wider society, connections and group dynamics. This is not a month to go it alone, by any means. At the same time, don’t assume that everyone thinks like you do.
Key dates for group connections are the 5th when there’s a New Moon in Aries and the 19th when there’s a Full Moon cutting across the Aries-Libra axis of the zodiac. These could be key dates for your interactions with others.
The New Moon promises new beginnings and a fresh start. Initiate contact with an estranged friend or sign up to a new group, club or society. The Full Moon brings completion, also heightened emotions.
The 19th would be a great date for a party or social get-together. Love is also in the mix. In fact, if you’re looking for love, be aware that love and friendship go hand in hand this month, especially once Venus enters Aries on the 20th.
Less Work, More Play
Three days earlier, on the 17th, your planet Mercury finally steps away from Pisces where it’s been since February 10th and moves into fiery Aries. This shifts your attention from work to play. It’s an ideal time to favour socialising and to rekindle friendships that have been quiet.
This indicates that your mind is going to be working overtime and you might feel more frazzled or stressed. Mercury in Aries is the fast talker which is great if you’re excited and there’s lots going on, but less great if you can’t slow down.
Plus, you have action planet Mars in your star sign, Gemini, throughout April which is a real adrenalin rush. This is good news for your stamina and physical activities. It suggests you’ll be feeling ambitious about getting ahead and pursuing your personal goals and aims.
Quick, Quick, Slow
Yet, like Mercury in fire sign Aries, Mars in Gemini wants everything to happen overnight. You might be back up to speed and feel that you’re moving in the right direction but it’s either top speed or nothing at all.
In addition, the Sun enters your previous sign of Taurus on the 20th, one of the earth signs. This is a slow and steady influence, perhaps too slow for you. Having to continue to wait or be patient could drive you nuts so be aware of this possibility and pace yourself accordingly.
Think of life as a dance in the month of April, quick, quick, slow, and you’ll get more done than expecting everything to proceed in an orderly fashion. That’s not to say you can’t enjoy yourself and you’re probably going to feel delighted, liberated even after recent setbacks or uncertainty.
Money Lessons
Finally, this month, note that Pluto and Saturn turn retrograde in Capricorn and your joint finance sector on the 24th and 30th respectively. Also, both planets conjoin the south node – Pluto on the 4th and Saturn on the 30th.
This could be a challenging time with regard to money matters. Perhaps, you’re facing limitations around money or you’re letting go or releasing expectations of how things should be. This could play out in a myriad of ways.
The best advice is not to get hooked up on what money means or even what it provides. There’s huge learning potential here but not always easy. For some, this internal shift will continue until September 2019. It’s not the best time to attach yourself to material success. Life, in its mysterious ways, may remind you that there’s more to life than money.
