Full Moon Pisces: Letting Go

Full Moon

FULL MOON [21 Pisces 05]

London – September 14, 2019 (05:33 GMT +1)

New York – September 14, 2019 (00:33 GMT -4)

Sydney – September 14, 2019 (14:33 GMT +10)

This weekend’s Full Moon takes place in Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac. It’s the culmination of a fortnight’s astrology that’s been chock-full of planetary aspects. I would guess that some of you will be more than ready to release and let go.

Earth Sign Energy

It all started with the New Moon in Virgo on August 30th. Ever since, the astrology has been busy, chaotic, confusing, overwhelming. Hopefully, for some of you, the inner planets careering through Virgo have coincided with a productive couple of weeks.

Plus, there has been some lovely earth sign activity and supportive trine aspects from planets in Capricorn – think a strong oak tree supporting you, the person who’s got your back. This has been good for long-term plans and sticking to the task at hand. Easier for some star signs than others.

Jupiter-Neptune Fantasies

However, all the inner planets have clashed with big planet Jupiter and boundless planet Neptune, whipping up a frenzy in three of the mutable signs, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces. Think lies, craziness, outrageous promises, overwhelm, wild escapades.

You may have lost touch with reality during the last fortnight, been mesmerised by a spiritual or mystical experience, or found yourself running off down countless rabbit holes following ideas that lead you nowhere.

Your mind may have run away with you too, as communication planet, Mercury, Virgo’s ruling planet has aspected every other planet in the universe! It’s been quite a ride.

Alternatively, you might have been on a journey, real or metaphorical, that allowed you to escape reality in the best way – and you made memories to treasure.

The great thing with astrology is that it can play out differently for each of us with our unique blue-print, our birth map of the heavens.

A World Gone Mad

Personally, I’ve found the last fortnight chaotic and confusing. Also, I’ve spoken with clients/friends in four continents of the world over the last two weeks who’ve all said a version of the following, ‘the world is going mad’.

You hardly dare glance at a newspaper/online media site these days in case more craziness has been unleashed. So, what can we do about it all? How can we respond in a way that’s helpful, hopeful and aligned with the truth.

For starters, know that the time of the Full Moon is an ideal point in the month to release and let go. That might mean you release emotion, let go of what’s not working out or stop believing the lies, deceit or untruths.

And, with a Mars-Neptune opposition almost at the exact same time as the Full Moon, there’s more illusion and trickery to come. Don’t be fooled or seduced.

Full Moon Insights

Remember too that the light of the moon is at its brightest during the Full Moon and it exposes what’s hidden. Therefore, tap in to your female intuition this weekend, meditate, rest, be in nature, slow things down so you can hear what life’s telling you. And… let go.

Whatever noise or drama or issue has been drowning out the clarity, your perceptive nature, your natural insight, let it go. This weekend’s Full Moon falls at the very end of the zodiac, a place where you can clear the decks karmically and psychically to allow fresh, bright sparkly energy in.

Letting Go & Moving On

On the same day as the Full Moon, the social planets, Mercury and Venus, both move into Libra – a nod towards restoring balance, the Moon moves into Aries and the wheel of the zodiac starts over. This is a sign to put yourself first, tend to your close relationships, step out of the confusion or fog and re-emerge into the light.

Make the unconscious realm manifest, listen to your dreams and learn from them, be less inner and more outer. Step back out into the world and engage pro-actively. Take a stand for what you believe, uphold the truth and restore clarity.

If you’ve been diving deep into the soup or sea or swamp of life over the last fortnight (choose your metaphor), wipe yourself down, dry yourself off and get back on firm foundations. It’s been quite a fortnight, quite a ride.

Next week, the Jupiter-Neptune square becomes exact and Saturn turns direct and prepares to leave behind the karmic South Node.

More big events coming up but expect this weekend’s Full Moon to be the peak of the intensity, the top of the helter-skelter slide and it’s down hill from here. Take a deep breath, release and off you go.

Here are the areas in your life which are highlighted by this weekend’s Full Moon. Read both your Sun sign and your Ascendant sign if you know it:

  • Aries: Retreat & recuperation – work, service, health & fitness
  • Taurus: Friends, groups & networks – self-expression, creativity, children & love affairs
  • Gemini: Career & vocation – home & family
  • Cancer: Travel & study – life close to home, neighbours & siblings
  • Leo: Other peoples’ money & joint resources – personal possessions & values
  • Virgo: Relationships & one-on-one partnership – personal goals & self care
  • Libra: Work, service, health & fitness – retreat & recuperation
  • Scorpio: Self-expression, creativity, children & love affairs – friends, groups & networks
  • Sagittarius: Home & family – career & vocation
  • Capricorn: Life close to home, neighbours & siblings – travel & study
  • Aquarius: Personal possessions & values – other peoples’ money & joint resources

May your Full Moon weekend be cosmic,

a time when you reconnect with your self and others

and find a way to recalibrate your inner scales.
