Capricorn November 2018

Capricorn, Think big

Capricorn (22 December – 20 January)

The big news this month is planet Jupiter on the move leaving the water sign, Scorpio, and entering the fire sign, Sagittarius, on the 8th. Jupiter takes approximately one year to journey through each sign of the zodiac and has been in Scorpio since October 2017. Scorpio is the star sign which rules friends, groups, social concerns and your wider network in your horoscope.

At its best, Jupiter creates luck and opportunity. Your friends may have been fortunate for you, perhaps you’ve joined a new group or club that’s expanded your horizons or you’ve been fully involved with a charity or humanitarian or environmental organisation.

Scorpio is the star sign of deep water and it often brings up strong emotions. There’s intensity, obsession even when the focus is on this particular star sign. This doesn’t always fit easily with your down-to-earth, practical common sense. Both Scorpio and Capricorn like power but you don’t usually enjoy office politics, drama or secretive behaviour.

As Jupiter leaves this part of your horoscope, consider where you’re ready to move on. This is important because the day before Jupiter exits Scorpio, there’s a New Moon in the same star sign. A New Moon symbolises new beginnings but it’s also about letting go of what’s not longer working for you.

The key is to allow what’s old or outdated to fade away, to wipe the slate clean so you can begin again and bring in fresh energy. It’s important to let go of difficult emotions or a toxic situation as you can’t move forwards if you have one foot in the past. Throw off what’s difficult and embrace diversity.

This fits with Mars’ move into Pisces on the 15th where it remains until January 6th. Mars is the planet of action and energy and Pisces is your communication sector. It’s about your siblings and neighbours, your local community and new friends.

Ensure you have people in your life who arouse your imagination and inspire your dreams. Move away from drama and move towards creativity or a spiritual path. Finding people of like minds brings comfort and reassurance your way.

If you’re in a relationship or married, turn to your other half for love and support this month. Being with someone who’s sensitive and caring can help you overcome any challenge or difficulty that arises. Be with people who get who you are and, if you’re not in a relationship, turn to the friends you can trust.

Jupiter’s move into Sagittarius on the 8th turns your attention to the most hidden sector of your horoscope as Sagittarius is the sign before your star sign, Capricorn. Jupiter remains here until December 2019.

This is your opportunity to focus on your inner world, develop your spirituality or your trust and faith in life and the universe. You will see more clearly the connection between mind, body and spirit and you’ll benefit from going on retreat or bringing more silence and solitude into your life. Quiet times are nourishing and nurturing.

Embrace the quieter side of life or a spiritual activity close to the 8th when there’s a Moon/Jupiter conjunction or the 26th when there’s a Sun/Jupiter conjunction. Gratitude and caring are instinctive behaviours and, with Jupiter’s momentous move this month, they are being called forth for you to use as you choose.

There’s another indicator too that this month is about taking a step back. This is the fact that communication planet, Mercury, is in Sagittarius throughout November and, on the 17th, Mercury turns retrograde.

This means, it will be on go slow until December 6th and you might find that you can’t move forwards as quickly as you would like. In fact, you may have to take time out from your usual routine or choose to study or spend time doing research. When planets are in Sagittarius, this is about preparation for you.

Both Mercury and Jupiter are linked to education, learning and the lower and higher mind. They connect on the 27th, an ideal date to go inwards and learn more about yourself. Mercury and Jupiter come together again on December 21st. This feels special as if you’re working towards a research paper or personal project that could prove to be a revelation. This might only be for yourself or other people too.

Finally, Venus, the planet of love and money turns direct in Libra and your career and vocation sector on the 16th. Venus in Libra is charming and influential so use your connections and your network to enhance your chances work and promote yourself.

This is an excellent period for socialising with colleagues, attending a conference or networking event. Be friendly and helpful and show that you’re an easy person to work with. Be gracious and diplomatic and you can go far.

While Venus is in Libra, you may want to invest in new clothes for work or visit a stylist. Look your best and ensure that your face is recognised. Venus in Libra indicates that if you’re looking for love, you’re most likely to meet someone through your place of work or via an introduction from a colleague.
