Capricorn Monthly Stars November 2014

Capricorn Zodiac Stamp

Capricorn (22 December – 19 January)

This month’s planetary energy should suit you as it’s full on, powerful and commanding. It won’t all be a breeze but you can get things done and that’s a good thing.

The main reason that November is a month for begin pro-active and forceful is because Mars, the action planet, is strong in your sign of Capricorn.

This is a cool and calculated energy. Mars is action and speed and in Capricorn this is drawing up a plan and sticking to a strategy. You’re at your best when you have a new project on the go, a fresh mountain to climb and you can let your ambitious nature out to play.

Hard work thrives when Mars is in Capricorn and if anyone’s calling out for a leader or a boss to be in charge, you’re the perfect candidate. It’s a go-getting month and an excellent time to do business.

Whilst Mars is strong in your sign, this is a perfect opportunity to look to the year ahead and do some planning for the next 12 months. What’s going, what’s staying and what do you want to change? Take charge of your own life and plan your next steps.

Your ruling planet is Saturn and Saturn is powerful right now so another reason why you’re firing on all cylinders. Saturn is currently in the water sign Scorpio where it’s been since late 2012 but at the end of next month on December 23rd Saturn leaves Scorpio and moves on.

In your chart Scorpio is the sign that rules friends, groups, clubs and society and it’s these areas under the cosmic spotlight. Saturn in Scorpio can be a tough energy whether you’ve experienced fallings-out or intense friendships or group interactions. You may have been the one who’s taken on a new role of responsibility within a group or club and at times this will have been taxing especially if you’re trying to save the group or you’re in charge of wildly diverse personalities.

Last month’s astrology focused intently on these areas of your life and for some, it will have been a difficult time for friendships. Think back to two dates in particular when Mercury turned retrograde in Scorpio on October 4th and a few weeks later when there was a Solar or New Moon eclipse in Scorpio on October 23rd.

Both these dates will have been revealing when secrets or truths emerged and hidden information came to light. If a friendship stalled or strong emotions dominated, you may have found yourself reeling from the dramatic events.

Now you can sort things out for the better and the key dates to look at these areas of your life are the 6th – 10th. On the 6th there’s a Full Moon cutting across the Scorpio/Taurus axis of your chart, a time when emotions are heightened but you also see with clarity. This is a good date to make a decision and bring one particular matter to conclusion.

Then on the 10th Mercury returns to the place it was in the heavens when it turned retrograde the month before. This is a chance to speak again, to initiate an important conversation, to start where you left off and it’s a sign of second chances. Mercury in Scorpio is an impassioned speaker and you can’t help but speak from the heart when Mercury’s in this sector of your chart.

Saturn then makes it’s way through the personal planets and creates three close conjunctions on the 13th, 18th and 26th of the month. First is Venus (love), then the Sun (self) and finally Mercury (communication).

This signifies the beginning of the end, a time when you’re closing the door on someone or something that’s past it’s sell by date and you know it’s time for you to move on. You may step down from a position of responsibility or refuse to engage with someone who’s behaved badly in the past. Saturn’s role this month is urging you to let go of those things that no longer work in your life so you can clear the way for fresh energy coming in.

This theme is repeated from the 10th -13th when Mars in your own sign of Capricorn clashes with the Uranus-Pluto square. This is nothing new and it may indicate a repeat issue, something you’re asked to look at again. It links in to your past or your home and family and it’s about getting the balance right so you’re happy in yourself and not repeating old patterns.

It’s another chance to let go of the old so you can embrace the new. Some of you may make a key decision that you’re ready to move home or change locations and it’s something you want for yourself and/or your family in the year ahead.

There’s also a significant shift away from other people and towards you as the month progresses. This is due to the personal planets entering Sagittarius, the sign before yours, turning your attention inward. Venus (love) is the first planet to enter Sagittarius on the 16th followed by the Sun on the 22nd and Mercury on the 28th.

Make time for yourself and your own personal activities especially if you’ve been super-busy with other organisations or people. You benefit from a spiritual approach to life, a chance to retreat, turn inwards and listen to your inner voice. Pamper yourself, fall in love with yourself all over again and do whatever you need to feel happy and peaceful.

For some, Venus in Sagittarius indicates a private time for love when you fall for someone who’s unavailable or you embark on a love affair. You may be unsure of your own feelings and if this is the case, there’s no need to rush. When Venus enters your sign of Capricorn next month, you’ll know where your heart lies.

Spread the love

  1. Hi Penny,

I find you just amazing. I am a Capricorn who has had a difficult few years. My Mother also a cap, sadly died this month, she became ill on the 8th and died on the 15th. October. I remember reading last month how Oct was all about endings and beginnings and really hoped it would not mean this as I adored my Mum. She had Dementia and became very poorly after the flu vaccine (she had recently had a chest infection and probably shouldn’t have had this) She was an amazing person, always so beautiful and very cleaver with 2 degrees. Life will never be the same. I do feel I am on the brink of a new existence. Hope I make good choices! as I haven’t in the past.
Thank you for your horoscope. Myself and my children always read you, you have great insight!

    1. I am sorry to hear about your mother. Take good care of yourself and let yourself grieve fully. Sending you best wishes, Sally
