Capricorn Monthly Stars November 2013

Capricorn Rankin MissCapricorn (22 December-19 January)

November opens with a double whammy of action and activity as the Uranus-Pluto square falls on the 1st and Pluto’s in your sign of Capricorn, plus there’s a solar eclipse on the 3rd and your planet Saturn’s involved. So don’t expect the beginning of the month to be quiet and uneventful and in reality you may have rather a lot going on.

A solar eclipse is effectively a New Moon with extra oomph as it includes the karmic nodes of the chart. This eclipse is especially powerful as your planet Saturn and the planet of communication, Mercury, which is currently retrograde are also in play. As all these planetary bodies are in Scorpio, the sign that rules friends, groups and society in general, it’s one or more of these areas where you’re going to be in demand.

For some of you this may mean a period of hard work running or leading a group or association; for others you may be desperately trying to backtrack and reduce your responsibilities or time spent helping or working for others. This is more complicated if what happens to the group affects you and your future direction in life which is very possible.

So it’s a big moment but with all New Moons there’s a chance to initiate action, sow seeds and in some cases start afresh. There may be new information that comes to light which is a common theme this month and you may hear a secret or a confidence from a good friend. Take your time deciding your next move and if in doubt, talk to as many people as possible to get their opinion. Mercury, planet of communication, turns direct in Scorpio on the 10th and Mercury makes a host of planetary aspects this month, most of which are helpful.

It does feel as if you’re at the centre of the action whether you’re caught between friends who’ve fallen out or you’re involved with a group or social issue that matters to you a lot. Be responsible and take the lead especially if others want you to be the voice of authority. By the end of the month when Mercury and Saturn connect in the heavens for the third and final time in the sign of Scorpio, you should have a clearer idea where you’re heading and you may even be able to wrap things up nicely leaving you with more time for yourself.

The planets are calling you forth to play more and live life to the full this month. The relating planets, Mars and Venus, are both in earth signs: Mars in Virgo and Venus in your sign of Capricorn from the 5th. Virgo rules travel, education, spirituality, philosophy and any activity that expands your horizons and opens up your world. Plan a holiday for next year or look into a course that would interest you. The more you experience life, the more fulfilled and inspired you will be with Mars in this sector of your chart. Where does your passion lie? Follow your dreams and desires.

Talking of desire, Venus, goddess of love, is going to be in your sign for an unusually long time, four months. Add to this the fact that Jupiter, the planet of opportunity, is in Cancer and your relationship sector and this is a hot period for love and relationships. It’s all going on.

If you’re married or in a relationship, then make time for each other and enjoy one another’s company. If you’re looking for love, join a dating agency or ask for introductions. Venus puts the feel-good factor into your life when it’s in your sign and urges you to make merry and have fun. Looking good makes you feel good so spend time on your appearance and boost your popularity. Lucky dates for love are abundant this month, e.g. the 8th, the 12th, the 19th, the 23rd and the 28th.

The main challenge comes on or around the 15th when Venus clashes with the Uranus-Pluto square. Pluto’s transforming you from the bottom up and if you have a December birthday you’ve already been zapped by the Pluto effect. This may be the planet of transformation but it doesn’t do things easily as it’s associated with loss and the type of change that takes you down to the depths before you can rise like the phoenix. There may be issues to do with family or where you or your partner lives on or around this date and it’s important to try and sort things out together.

However, if it’s someone in your family who isn’t happy with your choice of partner, to be honest I think for now at least you have to put your own needs first. There’s too much potential for love and relationships to let anyone get in the way of your personal happiness. Some of you may even go as far as to elope or move countries to follow your heart and the one you love.
