Capricorn Monthly Horoscope September 2015

keep learning, CapricornCapricorn (22 December – 19 January)

This is potentially a big month for you and you have some major decisions to make which won’t always be easy or straightforward. Plus, timing is the key to your success and if anything, you need to postpone the big moves until mid-October. Here’s what’s happening.

Firstly, the major shift in the heavens concerns your ruling planet Saturn. On the 18th, Saturn changes signs in the zodiac and this doesn’t happen very often. Saturn moves into Sagittarius where it was from late December 2014 until mid-June 2015 and Saturn remains in this sector of your chart until the end of 2017.

You often find your outlook on life changes as Saturn moves signs and for some, this is time to consider who you spend your time with, what you want more of or less of in your life and how to deepen your connection to a spiritual source.

Since mid-June 2015, Saturn has been in Scorpio and the sector of your chart that rules friends, socialising and group situations. Saturn can either create difficulties in these areas of your life or you end up taking on a position of responsibility, the leader of the pack, the chair, the organiser.

You might find your alliances begin to shift once Saturn departs from this sector of your chart. You may resign from a key position or role or start to question your friends and your social life. Are you lonely? Do you have friends who get you, who are supportive and fun? Do you want more depth to your life, to be around people who inspire you in different ways?

Saturn’s move into Sagittarius focuses on your inner world. This can link in to a spiritual path or wanting more time alone to work out who you are or spend time getting to know yourself better. It depends on your own personal development so far what this means for you. Solitude can be a welcome choice for some and being alone doesn’t have to mean being lonely.

Yet if you are someone who doesn’t make friends easily and wants more support in life, then you need to reach out to others at the same time as learning to love yourself.

Also when Saturn’s in this sector of your chart, it’s a key period of preparation. Getting rid, clearing away, detoxing, decluttering, releasing emotional baggage, shedding the past so you can move forward.

You’re heading towards Saturn’s major transit of your own sign Capricorn in 2018/2019 which takes place every 30 years so for now, view this as a key time of exploration and letting go.

There are two other important factors this month which indicate that your priorities are shifting. Firstly, Mercury, the communication planet, is in Libra and your career sector throughout September. The first half of the month looks lively and a good time to arrange meetings, interviews, apply for work and get busy.

Yet on the 17th, Mercury turns retrograde and remains on go slow in this sector of your chart until October 9th. You can’t make quick progress whilst Mercury retreats through the heavens and this can indicate a change of heart, insecurity about work or your future or needing to go back and review your current situation. A job that was promised might not materialise.

On the same day, there’s a major planetary aspect between Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces and these two mighty planets oppose one another across the skies. Jupiter is the planet of opportunity and growth and it’s currently in your fellow earth sign of Virgo where it remains for the next 12 months. Jupiter in Virgo wants to travel, study, learn, explore and have adventures.

Yet Neptune represents the flow of the sea and together this can create disillusionment with your current situation, a feeling of restlessness, yearning for something different. Together with Mercury retrograde, this is pulling you away from the work path and you might find that your usual predilection for working hard disappears or at least dissipates for a while.

Plus this month there are two key eclipses taking place which often direct you down a new path. One door closes and a new door opens. Both eclipses are relevant to your future and where you’re heading.

The first is a solar eclipse which takes place on the 13th in the sign of Virgo. Look out for new opportunities which crop up now perhaps to do with a sabbatical, a big trip away or a course of study.

The second eclipse is a lunar eclipse on the 28th which cuts across the Aries/Libra axis and the foundations of your chart. Aries rules your home and family and Libra rules your work and career. Eclipses bring what’s hidden to light so expect outside events to have a knock-on effect in your own life.

Plus the Moon is the planetary body which rules your partner so if you’re in a relationship or married, it might be events in your partner’s life which trigger change in your own. Either way, this is a big month for you.

All in all, it seems as if your priorities are shifting and you need time out to re-evaluate what you want in life and where you’re heading. Take your time and don’t rush into the next chapter but explore your feelings and thoughts fully.

Finally it’s worth noting that money matters begin to surge forward from the start of September. On the 1st, the lovers of the heavens, Venus and Mars, conjoin in Leo and your joint finance sector. Good news for a partner means good news for you.

Then five days later on the 6th, Venus, the planet which rules love and money, turns direct in the heavens after six weeks retrograde or on go slow. This gives the green light to money matters, the go-ahead for a mortgage, investment, financial plan or anything that’s linked to money and shared resources. Both these planets remain in Leo for the main part of the month and they link in to Uranus in Aries on the 8th and 23rd. Family and property bring money luck your way.
